These things are tough! (And much harder to stall than stock fans!). I noticed on my DB pro the esc fan is… actually just a joke. I ran it through grass for 5 minutes, went to check temps, temps were OFF THE CHARTS, then I realized there was a SINGLE blade of grass that stopped the esc fan which made everything into an inferno.. very dangerous situation for electronics when a fan unexpectedly stops! . With these fans you won’t have a problem with that ?. I have two l my e revo 2.0 motor and those things take ABUSE. Everytime I land on the roof or flip it the body bends and smashes the frames of the fans and they still haven’t broken in 2 years. The frames have gouges and scratches all over them but they run like a tap, can’t recommend these more for a motor fan or esc fan. Especially because most of my RCs simply can’t fit a Game changer RC typhoon fan!
Keeping this review short & sweet.
I have a Traxxas Slash Ultimate with the VXL-3S motor/ESC fan. Without any fans my motor reaches temps up to 180+ degrees. With the Traxxas shroud fan my motor reaches temps up to about 130 degrees. With the ProTek fan my motor went up to 86 degrees after 3 hours of playtime on a 3S battery. Pretty damn sweet and worth less than the Traxxas fan. 10/10 recommend.
Very nice fan.. it works very well in my b74 my 6.5 is warm to the touch right after a five minute A main. Revised.. second fan.. for my b74.1d
I picked up the blue version for my new Tekno EB410.2 as I have a few bits of blue aluminum, and the black one for my TLR 22 5.0 Elite as the black and milled silver aluminum on the servo matches my Hobbywing XR10 Pro esc/V10 G3 7.5t motor, as well as the black and milled silver aluminum on my Protek 160t servo perfectly plus all of the stock aluminum on the kit. (Steering bellcranks/ackerman, C and D blocks' rear camber link mount, rear hubs etc. It all looks so good together you would think that one company built it all to go together.
As far as the performance of the fans, they are awesome. I want to lower the BEC voltage down a ways from 7.4 to slow the fans down some to see how much quieter they get. Having these plus the stock fans on the XR10's both cars are super loud once they are on and even the servo torque levels at 6v is plenty for both the cars... pretty sure i dont need 275 in/oz in 1/10 buggies...
2 out of my five I purchased the past year have quit working. Price is the only reason I might buy another one
Not much to say - it's a fan. It looks great, works great, and feels like it's built with quality. No complaints at all. I'll buy more when needed.
Nice fan, it has a aluminum body with black/blue bling. Looks really nice, works too. If you don't care about bling and are a weight weenie - keep searching. The fan does make some noise - especially on a higher voltage. It works for me and I needed to add some weight for my CG in that area so win, win..
Great fan from Jconcepts, works perfectly and looks good doing it.
Good fan. Durable for sure, but heavier than a plastic fan. Comes with the nice extension as well.
Keep the wires out of your outdrives on 4wd. Lol.
This little fan blows some serious air, a bit loud but it does a good job on a esc. You may want buy a shroud if your putting it on vxl3s
Does the job, the connector the the esc seams a bit cheap and loose. The little fan puts out the air though is pretty loud for that little thing.
These puppies move some air, but they also make a lot of noise compared to some other fans. Just something to be aware of if you want to put one in a crawler.
Great product. High speed with excellent air flow. Keeps my motor temps in check
I own 3 of the Protek 30 mm fans and one of the 35 mm ones. They blow hard!
I'm really a fan of this product. I don't know if my RC *needed* a fan, but it had the mount for it, so I got one. I'm going to talk about ProTek in general rather than this specific product, but their stuff is very high quality. So far everything I've tried from them has been great. You should give this fan a spin! I think it's a really cool product!
It's a pretty good fan doesn't last forever but in my 13.5t 4wd buggy it lasted 1 1/2 years which is really good for a fan. But one of my fans started glitching after 6 races so I replaced it but other than that it's a really good fan.
This Fan is Awesome right off the rip. Fits and mounts perfect to my Reedy 510R Blackbox and fits perfect in my EB410.2 plenty of clearance space between the fan and the body. Black and Blue aluminum well constructed. I will definitely buy another just for a back up. I placed my order for this fan and I received it 4 days sooner than expected. I highly recommend this fan for alot of reasons and also for the reasons I cant think of. I give this fan 5 stars high qaulity well constructed and many other reasons.

I bought this fan after noticing that my motor was too hot to touch after running with high capacity batteries. I chose ProTek's motor fan because it operates at 28k rpm compared to all the others, which run at 14k rpms. The fan is quiet considering it runs at 28k rpms. I chose the blue because it matches the blue hardware on my B6.2.
This thing blows air massively! I first purchased a Dynamite motor cooling fan for my Baja Rey truck but it was a DOA, not working out of the package. Then I used zip ties to bind this Protek Fan on the motor which works perfectly! Very powerful and good build quality/material. Will definitely recommend and purchase more in future!
