Awesome servo. I use ProTek servos in all of my cars/trucks, 1/10 and 1/8 scale and I have yet to be disappointed. Outstanding torque and precision steering from this servo. Highly recommended.

These servos are seriously a great choice for 1/8 buggy / truggy nitro or electric , They are quiet as can be and hold up in extreme conditions 120° + Temps , And with A main having your back no matter what you can't go wrong , With other name brand servos if you have any issues with them you have to wait for a replacement , Not with a main tho . Point is if you run a nitro buggy or truggy it's a great/probably the best servo to go with Imo . I give it a 5 star rating outa 5 stars .
These are great servos... I run them in 1/8 buggy and trug... smooth and strong. never a problem.. would recommend to anyone looking for a great servo.
Failed after 8-10hrs of use. Going to email amain and see if it's warrantied as it's only been 2 months since I bought it. And second race day in it failed.
I Got my replacement same week I returned the old one A-main was more then happy to help me and send me a replacement. Going to test it out after this weekend race. (as i put a back up in my truggy) I think I just got a dud. All my cars have protek servos and I've never had a problem.
Very nice servo, not as quiet or as fast as my futaba servo. But overall excellent quality and plenty of yank for my Kraton 6s steeing. The changeable leads are a nice touch.
I run this servo in my Tekno 410sct 2.0 and in my Tekno Et48 2.0. Super strong, very fast. In fact since the Et is new I have slowed the speed down a bit. Never had a problem with it and works perfectly every time.
Lots of torque too!!! Love it!
pretty good servo been using for over a year now in nitro buggy with no issues. my only complaint would be the detachable servo harness. for most this is a bonus feature that would be appreciated but if you have a tekno the grommet around the wire is pretty fat and is pretty difficult to get through the servo mount posts. i ended up trimming the grommet off and squirting silicone in there to keep dirt and fuel out.
Those servos are great working servo and very reliable service
Wish I knew the waterproof version 370 is same price. I thought I was getting a waterproof servo.its extremely strong no complaints there, just a lil slow to comparable priced servos which are also waterproof!

Can this servo run on 8.4 volts?? This servo works very well in my Phoenix, fast and torque all a person would need. 2 thumbs up for me.
Great servo. High quality and strong. However, due to how and where the wires exit the servo, if used with the RC8B4, some modification to the servo mount is required with a dremel to clear the wires.
They suggest this servo with the kit, but don't mention this.

This is a insert servo wire type connector, it has a long lead and short lead. On the AE RC8BTe kit , you have to Dremmel out the servo brace , as the lead into servo it bulky.
I run all Pro-Teck black label .
I have run the ProTek 170TBL (PTK-170TBL) and 170SBL (PTK-170SBL) in my 1/8th scale off-road vehicles for the last 4 years. I run the 170SBL in my nitro (for both steering and throttle/brake) and electric buggies. I run the 170TBL for steering on my e-truggy, and the 170SBL for throttle/brake and the 170TBL for steering in my nitro truggy.
I try to drive reasonably smoothly, but do still put my cars (and thus the servos) through some tough crashes. These servos are amazingly robust. Bullet proof. I have yet to have to replace a single servo due to breakage or even wear-and-tear. Compare this to 10 years ago when I was replacing servos in my 8th scale vehicles on a bi-weekly basis.
In terms of performance the 170SBL is plenty fast (I sometimes need to dial down the response time on my radio for steering), and is very strong and torquey. I could probably also use it for steering on my truggies tbh, but have opted for the 170TBL just to be safe. The 170TBL provides tons of torque, and is also very responsive/speedy.
This is one of those products, along with Hobbywing ESC and motors, that have made 8th scale off-road so much more fun. I honestly can't recommend this product anymore highly. It is worth every penny of its cost.

This is an AMAZING servo!!!! I dropped it straight in my traxxas sledge, and it fit like butter!!! If you’re looking for a servo for your sledge this is it. Look no further. It’s super fast and has TONS OF TORQUE!! The shipping, as always, is super fast as well. Don’t settle for the stock servo, when you install this one it changes the entire car and makes it what it should have been to start with.
Awesome servo got it on sale and threw it in a Xmaxx with a GPM standard servo adapter throws around the tires effortlessly. For anyone interested there was one thing that I had to do the standard servo adapter needed to be trimmed where the servo wire ends up. The wire clears it no problem the problem is it slightly off centers the servo because the port the servo wire harness that plugs into the servo has a lip that keeps it from centering so better to shave the adapter than the servo.
