Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
I found this to be a really cool charger. Great features. It'll definately charge any pack that I have. I went with this product over the cheaper Chinese versions from other stores because of the Hitec reputation and if there was anything that I needed from them as far as support issues I knew I could depend on them and also be able to speak to them in english as well. That to me is worth the extra money alone. I absolutely love the idea of being able to take this charger to the field and be able to charge any pack that I wish to charge and can charge them all at the same time is need be. My large scale plane alone has 2 Life packs (Rx) and 1 NiCd pack (Ign.). I'll be able to charge all three of them at the same time when needed. The only short comings I have found with it was I wish that it was AC/DC input capable not just DC. Not a real big deal though especially if used as a field charger. It comes with a great starting supply of different connectors and balancing boards but none of which worked for me. I couldn't believe as much as Deans connectors are used that there wasn't a Deans charge adapter in the kit as well. The balancing boards are great too but neither of the two that were supplied with it work with the packs I have either. Not a big deal either, you can just plug the balancing taps of the packs right in to the charger itself instead of using the balancing boards so still no big deal at all, just thought it was worth mentioning so others can be informed. Great product and good reliable shipping. Got it right on time. Absolutely no issues with it all together. I love it.

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
The features of this charger are great and is almost every thing a car racer would want.. Having only had this charger for around 2 weeks, and only charging LRP 4200 NiMh packs, charger # 3 has shorted out and blowen some thing inside it.. After hearing the charger beep away i could smell the famous "electical burn smell"..The display said connection Broken, and after opening up the case, there is a massive failure of one of the black caps at the fan end..The other 3 chargers still work, but.

Not happy.. How long till the others do the same..

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
I bought this charger last year when my wife and son were racing with me, and at first it was awesome. This charger could keep batteries ready for all 4 short course trucks (I was racing 2 classes). My race buddy got one too. After about 4 months, my buddy and I noticed most of our lipos were starting to puff. We had been racing with some of the batteries for over a year and some were new. After some frustration, we discovered that the charger was overcharging our lipos by several tenths of a volt while displaying the correct voltage. I watched and tested the first couple cycles when the charger was new to make sure this charger wouldn't damage our expensive collection of batteries. Well, the charger's voltage measurement must have drifted out of spec and ruined nearly a thousand dollars of lipos. Hitec did not care and would not respond until I sent several emails and then just said I should send it in. I have always used Hitec servos and still like them, but I have lost all faith in their chargers. I suppose I could still use it for NiMH batteries, but who uses those anymore?

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
Only gripe is that this doesn't come with a jxt balance port adapter or a deans plug. Other than that. Balance charged 4x 5000 mah lipos at 5 amps and it didn't get that hot.

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
I purchased this charger to replace two others that had quit. After I got it and soldered ends on cables, I hooked it up and tried to charge 4- 5000 MAH batteries at 5 amps. Channel 1,3 and 4 all seem to work but channel 2 won't charge at all. Seems the quality control at Hitec isn't all that great. Have to send it back to manufacturer for repair or replacement at my cost and extreme agrivation, to say nothing about having no charger at all for who knows how long. Never had a problem with hitec equip before but will have to really think about it before I buy any more. Not a very happy camper.

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
i have been using one of these for a year or so now and I love it! being able to charge 4 batteries at a time is priceless. I haven't had any troubles with any of the 4 channels, and I use all of them all the time with currents ranging from 300 milliAmps to 5 Amps. (I try not to push it current wise... this charger will pull more current than your house breakers will supply... )

Hitec X4 Four-Channel Multicharger (6S/6A/50W)
Best charger I have ever owned next to my astroflight 109. This thing rocks and I hope it keeps going. Had no problems and having been using it really hard and having no problems. I recommend this charge to anyone who can use a charger of this quality and tooling. Just make sure you DO NOT REVERSE THE POLARITY. I have not done it, but friends have and toasted their charger quick in doing so. I give the machine a five star rating. I think it will be reliable as long as I am nice to it I am sure it wil be nice to me.
