Honestly I was very surprised. As a first boat I would definitely recommend this. It's fast. And it turns really well! For 99$+tax and brushed I give this boat an easy 9/10.

Battery only lasts a couple charges. Boat died while in the water on the second use. Amain won't send a replacement or help very much at all.

The react 17 boat,, i was quite skeptical about it an RTR out of the box,, well other then having to charge the batteries. I was super surprised when the boat hit the water and took off like a jet,, i thought man that little boat is fast for a 7 year old and a 4 year old,, for the price I feel this boat is worth the money,, i just wish the battery life was longer than 30ish minutes. I would recommend this boat for first time rc boaters like I was

I am not new to rc cars, boats, I got this lol bugger to take camping, I lubed the shaft after having to remove motor to do so, with what I had some TLR black grease, and checked everything over, upon taking it to the small lake where there was no people in the water it tossed it in, it scooted right along making hard left and right turns on smooth water couldn't get it to flip over quite stable, after about 10 mins I could tell it slowed so I brought it in right away, had a little seaweed on rudder, I check to see how hot it was , about 130ish. So I tossed her neck out it still wasn't a fast as the initial run when I first put it in, after another 5 mins the performance was slower brought it back in, temp was closer to 170 a bit to hot for my liking, so that was it for now don't want to fry the motor, I will reinspect and relube as see the next run tomorrow
I have run this boat 3 more times, it is now running cooler and even faster, getting 20 min+ run times also much cooler, guess it needed some break in time awesome little boat , a blast when jumping waves

Pro Boat React 17 Self-Righting Deep-V Brushed RTR Boat
This boat is awesome and tons of fun. Very easy to use and drive. And pretty darn fast and very durable. It corners and handles well in calm to lightly choppy conditions. Might be a little too fast for a pool, but great for a small pond or lake.

Run time varies but usually around 15 minutes. Has battery warning system and self righting.

Only complaint really is the battery uses a non standard connector, so you're stuck there, and the charger it comes with is awful, and there's no adapter to use a good charger for it. But for the battery, this'd be 5 stars easy.

Pro Boat React 17 Self-Righting Deep-V Brushed RTR Boat
I’ve had plenty of RC trucks and cars but I wanted to try out boating and based on other reviews and videos I landed on this one. I’ve had it less than a week and it has only been used twice due to it getting water inside on the second run and messing up the electronics. Amain is usually my go to and at the start it seemed like they were gonna help me get the issue resolved but then the emails just stopped. Finally I called and they told me there was nothing they could do since it’s been opened and used and to contact Horizon. Still waiting to hear back from Horizon. I’m still giving 3 stars because when it did work it was definitely fun and Amain is usually my go to and they’ve always shipped fast and had good prices. This is the first real issue I’ve had and unfortunately I’m currently stuck with a $100 paper weight. I’ll most likely be sticking to RC vehicles with 4 wheels and tires.

Pro Boat React 17 Self-Righting Deep-V Brushed RTR Boat
Sturdy, quick, and nimble. Comes with a rubber nosecone to snap on the front that protects the bow from young pilots lol.
After running a full battery, the engine compartment was still dry as a bone and the motor not screaming hot, so the watercooling works very well.
Just a tight little unit; the kind of thing the future was *supposed* to be about!
