Pro Boat 17" Power Boat Racer Deep-V RTR Brushless Boat (Lucas Oil)
Honestly a sweet little boat and really fast for the size. 1 thing I highly recommend you do before you even run it is put a ballon around the receiver poor design on there part as the receiver is not waterproof. Got water in it my first run and had to switch out receiver with my fly-sky radio and reciever. Another weak point is the servo plastic gears stripped the second run and I replaced it with a $20 metal gear servo after another 6 batteries and everything works perfect so far. 4 out of 5 and for about $50 extra this little boat is badass now highly recommend

Pro Boat 17" Power Boat Racer Deep-V RTR Brushless Boat (Lucas Oil)
I bought this to rip around our 2.5 acre farm pond when I don't have time to go to the lake...this is a perfect pond boat. It's very fast for its size, but that's a double edged sword, because it is a little difficult to control. Due to the size, it doesn't really handle chop very well, so I wouldn't run it in public waters or on a windy day. 1300mah batteries last probably 10-15 minutes. The self righting feature works pretty well, and I haven't had a single issue with it in terms of durability. It's still completely stock, and the only breakage we've had is a prop and rudder, but to be fair, I'm pretty sure my son hit a turtle, and it was a pretty inexpensive fix. For reference, I've had it for probably 2 years...I have no idea how many packs are through it, but it's a lot. Between myself and the kids, it gets run at least once or twice a week, regardless of temperature, as long as the pond isn't frozen over. We do take care of our stuff, and it gets a lot of maintenance (like any boat should), but for what it cost and how much it gets used, I have nothing to complain about. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because it doesn't handle overly well, it could really benefit from stabilizers, and there's not a lot of aftermarket support for it (though I'm not sure if it's fair to hold that against it). For $200, this is an extremely fun toy.

Pro Boat 17" Power Boat Racer Deep-V RTR Brushless Boat (Lucas Oil)
Great small scale boat. If it were still the original price it would be five stars. Always with a new r c boat grease the shaft and make sure all the hardware on the drive shaft is tightened. With this particular model it tends to oversteer. Most reviews were it too hard to control. A simple fix is reducing the steering the steering range.

Pro Boat 17" Power Boat Racer Deep-V RTR Brushless Boat (Lucas Oil)
I bought one and it was a good little boat at first and fast but not even 10 mins into driving it around small pond it stopped working and started sinking luckily the small piece of foam in the front of the hull saved it from completely sinking. When I got it back out of the water I found out that the motor mount completely broke off and the shaft that is put side of the boat that goes to the prop snapped in half. After that happened I took it back to the hobby shop that I bought it from and exchanged it for a new one thinking that the first one was a faulty one but no the same thing happened to this one it flipped over and when I went to self right it started sinking again but that piece of foam in the hull saved it. I then went back to the store and returned it completely. If I could give it zero stars I would.

DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. DO NOT BUY.

I'm not sure the boat earns the full star I gave it. The rear drive came apart in less then 45 seconds the first time I had it out. I returned the boat, I am waiting to hear if they will return it. Customer service gets 5 stars so far.
