Now enter the car I’m actually reviewing, my new MST RMX 2.0 RTR. This thing is another level. It finally feels like real drifting! The steering angle is incredible, the servo is really fast, and the throttle is very responsive. The suspension seems to be set up quite well right out of the box where I had to make adjustments to the 4-Tec to get it to handle the way I wanted it to. Additionally, it’s much quieter than the 4-Tec 2.0 VXL for indoor use.
Obviously, the car feels lighter in your hands as it has basically half the drivetrain parts as the 4-Tec. However, it feels considerably lighter when you’re driving it. And especially once you see how important the throttle inputs are. You’ll be chucking it around corners with ease, changing directions effortlessly and controlling long drifts in no time.
As soon as you plug in the battery and pin down the body, the car instantly starts growing on you. I’ve only been driving it for a week or so and I can already see my skills developing quickly. If I ever get the opportunity to drive it on a proper drift track I think it will be an incredible experience that the car itself is more than ready for.
My initial impression of this car is that it’s a polished quality product and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I see it only becoming more of an extension of my body the more I use it. And with all of the fun mods you can make to the body and chassis along the way there is plenty of room to grow into it as a hobby too. I honestly couldn’t be happier with it for the price and for it being RTR. For me, it was a great decision to buy it. Thanks amain for having it in stock for a great price and shipped to me with tracking, without delay. I appreciate the service you all provide and will always keep you in mind for future RC purchases.
Cheers,
Michael Scalzo
