Mini-B - Performance Based Mini 2WD Buggy

The Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy has been designed to be track or terrain ready! This buggy is great for those wanting to experience the thrills of a performance 1/10 scale buggy in a smaller space. Built using suspension technology from the TLR 22 platform, this buggy features a mid-motor, oil filled shocks, adjustable turnbuckles, and has a wide range of separately sold option parts. Experience the performance of a 1/10 2WD buggy in mini 1/16 size!

About the Mini-B

Suspension

Using the suspension geometry from the TLR 22 buggy, this Mini-B has all the adjustability you would expect to find in a performance buggy. Adjustable turnbuckles allow you to change your camber, front toe, and roll centers. The front and rear shocks are oil filled and threaded allowing you to make precise adjustments to each shock.

Chassis

The aluminum chassis is 1.5mm thick and looks identical to the chassis found on 1/10 scale 2WD buggies. The transmission uses a mid motor configuration creating better balance while also aiding in steering and traction.

Electronics

Powered by a brushed 280-sized 47T motor and HRZ 2-in-1 ESC/RX, this buggy has plenty of torque to get off the line and start ripping. A metal gear Spektrum SX107 steering servo delivers ample speed and torque for cornering. The included 650mah battery and charger ensure you can quickly get back into the action. The included transmitter comes with AA batteries to get you out and driving as quick as possible.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
Fun toy out of the box with the brushed motor but a LOT of fun with the brushless upgrade. Seems well made and drives well. Looking forward to trying it out on a track.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
Great RTR for a Kid just getting into the hobby!

Good selection of hop-up parts!

Easy for modifying with brushless setup to get some real speed out of it.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
I just received my Mini-B today and man does it drive nice. It's super slow out of the box compared to my Mini-T with the Hobbywing 7800KV Brushless but I remedied that after one drive stock. I ripped out the Brushless motor and replaced with the Dynamite 2in1 system and it looks super clean. The buggy feels super predictable and more stable than the Mini-T. Do yourselves a favor and buy the shocks and MIP CVD as well. This is such a bang for your buck.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
Bought 2 of these for Christmas. Transmitter in one doesn’t work and steering servo in the other doesn’t work, buggy itself is good electronics are garbage, just buy the roller save yourself the trouble

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
I've really enjoyed seeing how Losi puts a car together and this buggy is a great way to see if "race" buggies are your jam. I bought two mini "T" and now a third "B", the buggy being the more dynamic vehicle of the two. My continued interest in the platform is fueled by the fact that one needs very little real estate to setup a small track to run these although bashing them is fun as well. All in all a great value and would be a great addition to any rc fleet.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
My favorite vehicle in the Losi Mini t/b series. It handles amazing well with longer wheelbase compared to the trucks which tend to spin out. Very forgiving and stable, I can drive this faster around a small homemade course than either truck. Also very durable, haven't broke anything on buggy yet.

I installed a Hobbywing 5200kv motor/ESC combo in mine & gives it much more punch than stock brushed motor but still controllable power. Also installed MIP slipper clutch, top gear shaft, cvd kit. Buggy drives beautifully & is just right in terms of power for small courses & driveways. I would recommend the mini-B with Hobbywing 5200kv over brushless mini-T. The stock controllers are so tiny & feel cheap so I picked up a dumborc x4 for about $40 & it's much better combo & within $15 of brushless mini T.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
This is one cool buggy. Fit and finish is superb. Although decent speed out of the box, it can be doubled (or close) with a 2 in 1 Dynamite motor/ESC.
You will need a new receiver to match your radio.
In some situations, you really dont want to make it faster...
It depends. It is quite fast off the line.
I installed LOSI aluminum shocks...?...
HOT RACING front rear A-arms.?.
Some other parts. Mostly up front.
I noticed that much of the little slop in the steering can be remedied by making sure your bell cranks (2) are snug while allowing smooth movement.
Mine were both very loose. It took 1 and 1/2 turn on each bell crank to reduce the slop. Once done, the difference was dramatic.
But really, this is so well made, that driven responsibility, not beating the crap out of it, it really does not need upgrades. Unless you want more speed.
I upgraded simply because I like to work on them.
BTW- to adjust the Bell Cranks, you will need either a very thin 3mm or 4mm wrench...very thin, and a 1.5 mm allen hex tool.
Post up date: july 21, 2021...
- after replacing entire front end with aluminum parts, and rear end, the combined increase in weight is 30 grams over deleon plastic. Not much.
Out of box, top speed is turned down. It can be adjusted to run faster.
Put car on support (wheels free to spin).
Floor accelerator full throttle. Hold while pressing the throttle "plus" sign....listen carefully for beeping...your wheels should speed up as beeping continues then beeping stops and solid beeps means its reached final top speed. It made a significant difference.

Great car with amazing handling. Only complaint is the car is way too slow. Fun to drive for a beginner.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
this little buggy is great for backyard play and its great for beginners. The parts aren't to expensive, but the servo saver isn't the greatest but its good for a little while.

Losi Mini-B 1/16 RTR 2WD Buggy (Blue)
Loved the tiny buggy from losi Fast and durable. I play it with my son indoors in a makeshift race track using training cones. Lots of fun. The dual rates works great. I lower the max speed when I let my small daugher play with it to make sure no hard hits. So far so good.
