Losi Baja Rey LE Ford Raptor 1/10 RTR 4WD Brushless Desert Truck (Mint 400) w/2.4GHz Radio

Generally speaking, the Losi baja rey is actually quite a great truck in regard to reliability, speed and handling (in regard to how real trucks are designed and how they handle). I've been into off-road racing for a long time and this truck is great. However, there are a few complaints I have in regard to this particular model. The differentials have metal gears which is awesome, but the differential gear case screws shear off the screws after some time because it is plastic. Aside from the general baja rey performance, I would not recommend getting this particular 'Mint 400' baja rey; Here are the reasons why.. The remote it comes with is cheaper than the lower costing baja rey, so basically you're buying a more expensive truck with less quality parts (only benefit is branding). More importantly, I know countless people who have personal relations with the two brothers who own the Mint 400 off-road race and its' sister companies. That said, the way in which they operate their business is highly unprofessional in regard to ethics, being drunk on the job and how they treat their employees. Summed up, I would recommend not supporting the Mint 400 company or their other companies such as Dirt Co., Offroad-racer etc... Please make the better choice and buy a different baja rey truck that does not pay the aforementioned companies; don't give these people your money. I hope you make the right choice.

I think this is perfect for the collector. I think it has way too many screws. It comes with a smart charger and a 5000MAH 2 cell battery. If you decide you use a bigger battery then you have to disassemble it and take out the 2 cell insert which I really think you should not have to do this. This is a limited edition but I bought it mainly cause of the components and the body not cause of it being a limited edition. Also the controller that comes with this is the lowest end controller you can get. Do yourself a favor and get a better controller. The controller is not very responsive. I think this RC needs some sort of top bumpers cause if you flip it in the street which is very easy to do it scraps the whole top. I have not put in the higher gear yet but the gear that is installed is pretty fast. It has really good acceleration and handles really good off road but not that good on the street. Over all though as my first RC it is a good choice but I think I might pick Traxxas over Horizon next time.
