Chassis and Drivetrain

Anyone who loves working on full-scale cars and trucks will enjoy maintaining and upgrading the Losi Mini LMT, as it offers a similar hands-on experience. The durable metal yokes make driveline servicing and repairs straightforward, while the tough aluminum links withstand hard-hitting monster truck action and allow for easy rod end replacement. The 1.5mm powder-coated 6061-T6 aluminum chassis plates not only enhance the truck's scale appearance but also add durability for racing and freestyle fun. Additionally, the metal differentials in the front and rear allow each tire to spin independently, providing optimal handling characteristics.

Scale Lights

The Losi Mini LMT 4WD packs impressive authentic detail into a size compact enough to fit in a backpack. Its functional headlights enhance the realism of the officially licensed Grave Digger and Son-uva Digger bodies, while colored lenses add a touch of monster attitude!

The Gravedigger body is a high-quality, officially licensed replica of the iconic monster truck. It features the signature vivid green flames on a matte black background, adorned with eerie, detailed graphics of haunted houses, tombstones, and the Grim Reaper. Losi 1/18 Mini LMT 4X4 Brushed RTR Monster Truck (Son-Uva Digger)
It’s a cool car. My son ran it for 10 minutes, and the ECM failed. We ordered it as a Christmas present, and had to wait til early February for its arrival. Customer support was excellent and they are sending a new ECM that was back ordered. I’ll change out the part and see how well, and how long it runs after that. It is a cool platform, and very stable, it want to stay on its tires, and I like that. Maybe I just had a fluke, but I’ll let ya know.

Losi 1/18 Mini LMT 4X4 Brushed RTR Monster Truck (Son-Uva Digger)
This truck is awesome! It’s so much fun to drive. Has tons of power but I like that it has multiple power outputs so it’s easier to drive in smaller spaces. We’ve bashed this truck pretty good over the last couple of weeks and nothing broken yet. If you cut the cardboard box that the truck ships in and use some tape you can make a ramp.

Losi 1/18 Mini LMT 4X4 Brushed RTR Monster Truck (Son-Uva Digger)
It’s pretty good, it’s had about 6 packs through it now. Decently fast, light, and rugged. I’ve done a lot of jumps, and I’ve not broken anything yet. The servo saver works well. The speed isn’t slow, but it isn’t brushless. This is a tough review for me, only because of the price tag. Had this been closer to the $200 range, it would make more sense. At close to the $300 mark, it’s entering a market of very capable name brand brushless vehicles. It’s fun, but honestly they should’ve released it for $300 with a brushless motor. I find myself going back to my brushless FCX24 instead. Battery life is about 15 minutes running it hard. The 50% mode is a good speed for kids.

Experience:
It’s an awkward size for me, it’s a bit too big for in the house, yet a little small for what I’d want to do outdoors. My grass is a little thick, and it cannot transition from the concrete to the grass, or traverse the thick grass. Conversely, my modded FCX24 smasher can make the transition to the grass, and it glides right over the grass. It’s also a good size for inside.

Pro:
Fun!
My kids love the truck too.
Body is rugged, flipped it many times and barely any scuffs.
Oil filled shocks work great.
Plenty of aftermarket parts already available.
Lights look cool

Cons:
Tires are not foam filled.
Brushed motor.
Completely open diffs, makes doing tricks difficult.
No battery tray adjustments
Analog servo
Awkward size
Price tag

Conclusion:
I really like the way the truck looks, and it’s a very stable rig. Unfortunately, the high price tag, mixed with the brushed components and bouncy tires, land it far from the performance of other rigs that are at the $300 mark. It sits between the FCX24 and the E-Revo VXL, and I think those are better buys. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a TLR tuned model with a CF frame and brushless motor support.

Losi 1/18 Mini LMT 4X4 Brushed RTR Monster Truck (Son-Uva Digger)
Stinks I can only give this item 5 stars because I would give more if I could. I've not been in the RC hobby too long, but this by far is my favorite RC. It does wheelies, backflips, jumps, and mimics a true LMT really well. Also, for as small as it is, and running a brushed motor with a 2c battery, it packs a punch. I was surprised at how fast it actually did go.

Losi 1/18 Mini LMT 4X4 Brushed RTR Monster Truck (Son-Uva Digger)
Although I have not had the opportunity to play with my truck because of battery problems, I have been looking at the motor and such, unlocking the body from the frame with quite a bit effort. Once I got the body disengaged, it is quite a different story getting it closed and locked. Seems to be that I have to push-pull the body and frame just to get the locking mechanism to line up with quite a bit of effort. Then to get the 3 to engage where I can close them and lock the body down. I think Losi could have came up with a better locking system. Even tho, once the locks are twisted on, that body ain't going to disconnect for love nor money.
As for the rest, Michigan weather hasn't been very cooperative the past day or two and the next few days aren't going to cooperate neither. But when it decides to warm up,dry up, then I can get some use out of it.
