Kyosho Red Bull Edge 540 EP ARF
Bought this a couple days ago at A Main store on a black Friday special,, flew it a couple days ago, put about 6 batteries through it. So first the good
1) with its fairly low drag airframe and very light wingloading I'd say this plane flys better than just about any other foam plane I've ever flown of ANY type!! The stock power systems delivers lots of torque and pretty decent speed, puts the PZ extra 300 to shame!!! Is very smooooooth rock steady flyer will do anything you ask of her, seems to have 0 bad habits, just a pure joy to fly, requires very little input to hold a knife edge. I'm no 3D pilot by a long shot, but with this plane I can actually hover and Harrier with it. Plus it's just a pure joy to fly, it's color scheme combined with its size makes it very easy see and orient to, plus it just looks really bitchin in the air!! :-)
It lands like a Piper cub. Currently this plane and the PZ Spitfire my two most favorite planes.

2) now the bad: the battery compartment in the nose is really funky, hard to get battery in securely ( prob have to modify it)
3) wheels look a bit small and flimsy
4) even though foam looks very smooth and all, it doesn't look like it would take as much abuse as most foam planes,, but I guess that's the price you pay for a plane of this size that's sooo light.
5) could have a bit more power, but still is adequate, will hover at 3/4 throttle

In conclusion : I give this 5stars despite its flaws for its SUPERB flying charcteristics and how good it looks in the air and on the ground. It's very light ( 42 oz.) for a plane of this size and it's light wingloading and low drag gives it a fairly wide speed envelope and excellent low speed flying. Even for those of you not into 3D flying this plane is ALOT of fun!! And if you aspire to 3D this probably would be a good trainer for 3D.
