This is the Kyosho Inferno US Sport 2 Ready Set Buggy. When it comes to 1/8th Off-Road, Kyosho is number one in quality and design and nothing has been spared in designing this latest version of the Inferno RTR. The drive train rides on all ball bearings and the power from the super powerful GXR28 is transferred through a hardened steel clutch bell and spur gear. The gear boxes have hardened steel spiral cut ring an pinion gears and all the reliability that Kyosho's reputation has been built on. Last but not least, the body comes fully detailed and a competition rear wing is added to make this buggy that much more ready for the track or the back yard! With all these features, this is now one of the top RTR 1/8th buggies on the market today.
Features
Features
- New 4.6 Big Block Engine - Powering the Inferno Sport 2 is a big 4.6cc (.28 c.i.) pull start engine (GXR28SG). This new engine features modifications to increase performance and value.
- World Championship Quality - The suspension features double A-arms, which is the same type of suspension used on the world's most sophisticated performance machines. It's adjustable and durable, so you can tune the suspension for better performance and have the confidence that it's going to hold up even under extreme conditions.
- New Blue 17mm Hubs - New Anodized Blue17mm wheel hubs. Now you can use all standard 17 mmm wheels.
- Endless Adjustments - The suspension and steering linkages feature turnbuckles, which allows for quick adjustments to the camber and steering toe angles. All that's needed is a 5.5mm wrench to make any adjustment on the spot - there's no need to detach or move anything to facilitate an adjustment.
- Hardened Gears - Front and rear diffs use machined, hardened steel spiral ring and pinion gears.
- High Performance Clutch - High performance teflon clutch shoes.
- Full Ball Bearings - Full ball bearings throughout for maximum efficiency through the drive system.
- Torque Rods - Now equipped with front and rear torque rods for increased durability!
- New Design - New grip handle for easier pulling.
- Perfex KT-14 - Set the end-points etc with the multifunctional Perfex 14 digital transmitter with LCD display, 12 model memory, end-point adjustment, digital sub-trim and more.

Kyosho Inferno US Sports 2 Ready Set Buggy (MP 7.5)
Great buggy for the money. Mine came out of the box tuned almost perfect (head temps right on, only minor adjustments after break in). It even survived being run over by my neighbors hyundai santa fe with only a broken rim and control arm pins LOL. A few replacement parts later and I was back to terriorizing the neighborhood. Great RTR buggy for bashing around and having fun.

Kyosho Inferno US Sports 2 Ready Set Buggy (MP 7.5)
So I've had this for a month now, and still waiting to hear it run for more than about 8 seconds. I wanted nitro so bad, but had no idea it would be impossible to get started. Articals on the internet I've found about this motor (GXR28) mention problems with the o-rings in the carb.. Not my idea of Ready to Run... Hope it works when I try another fuel/plug combo, but really disappointed with my purchase so far.

Kyosho Inferno US Sports 2 Ready Set Buggy (MP 7.5)
I own three kyosho nitro RC cars and they are great. Why does the steering servo pushrod on this buggy look like a paper clip? Even my $220 DBX has a beefy one.

Kyosho Inferno US Sports 2 Ready Set Buggy (MP 7.5)
I have the original Inferno US Sport (1).
This is the updated version, but very similar to the original.
The original car was very durable, I bashed and raced it for a year, maintained it poorly and it's still running well (90% of the original parts still in use). I was able to always qualify in the top 10 (up to top 3 at times) with this car.
The GXR28 engine is hated by many, but to be honest it was very good with me. It had a lot of torque out of a corner and the stock gearing gave it good top end, so I was able to keep up with the others no problem. Now I run an OS28xz in it, and its tooooo much power and not race legal (but lots of fun), but the car's drivetrain has held up great with it after more than 2 gallons (total of 5 gallons between the two engines).
The radio that comes with it is good...great adjustments such as EPA and ARC etc (its a SANWA basically which is the same as the Airtronics MX3). Steering servo stripped, but throttle still strong.
There are a ton of parts and upgrades for this car, as it is a very popular platform.
It is a great starting point, and a worthy racer out of the box. Also as parts wear/break you can slowly upgrade it (not too much is needed) to become a serious racer.
But, as all RTR's this is not a top spec racer. So, if you're looking for a top spec racer then dish out triple the money and get an MP9/Losi 2.0/MBX6/RC8 + radio + servos + engine = $$$$$!!
