Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
I highly recommend this buggy! It is fast and agile and easy to setup and get running. The engine starts right up on a couple pulls after it is primed. I cannot be happier with this car.

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
The buggy had a bad steering servo which was aggravating but that’s on Kyosho. Contacted amainhobbies and Wesley V. had another servo out to me the next day. So, kyosho shame on you but amainhobbies that’s the best customer service I’ve ever had. Won’t buy from anyone else but them from now on. Great people who actually care about their customers!!!

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
Very cool buggy, the break in process is difficult and would not recommend anyone inexperienced to just wing this process . You can’t just take it out the box and start driving which is a bummer to list people who don’t know

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
If you get this rtr, plan on getting the, A,B,C,AND D blocks from kit. These are stamped alininum rather than milled. Sky's the limit after that. It can be raced and hold its own, after suspension block replacement,

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
An RC dream / goal finally achieved. Not a newbie’s to Radio Control and coming back a few a few years absence I set my goal for a Kyosho Inferno MP10 Readyset. I got it and the quality and kit do not disappoint. I am going through and verifying all things are proper tight, moving properly and ready to go. The kit manuals make me feel like I can take any task on. I installed an electronic on/off switch on the buggy, put shock boots on and added extra fuel line and a filter like was suggested in a 5 or 6 part AMain YouTube series on getting an Inferno MP9 Readyset up to racing spec. The people at AMain have answered any question and been very helpful. I am so happy to have been fortunate enough to get this Kyosho Inferno MP10 Readyset from AMain and to know I can ask questions and watch their great videos.

Happy to fly the Kyosho and AMain banners any chance I get!

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
Great Buggy! Engine runs very well and tunes easily. I had a similar problem as the user Nrad2000 listed in his reveiw with the engine dying on the 3rd idle tank. I picked the car up and tilted it sideways while idling to dump fuel out of the exhaust pipe because it runs so rich during break in. It died short of fuel. Went to fire it back up and it locked up on the second pull. Pulled the engine out and it broke loose on the flywheel fairly easily with some channel locks and a rag around the flywheel to protect it from getting marred. So the lesson is keep it level during break in or it will quickly run the fuel out of the very short fuel line it comes with. I later added more fuel line and a a fuel filter with a “DuBro Medium Fuel Line Combo [DUB680]” from Amain for 9.99. You can find examples online of how the pros do their fuel lines. Some little plastic fuel line holders will work well also. I’ve done all the break in and 1 tank of ripping the buggy and I’m very satisfied. Be patient and break in like the manual says. No more no less. Don’t worry about what you read online and just break it in like the manufacturer suggests. Don’t be afraid of Nitro let’s keep it alive, smelling and sounding like it should. This buggy is FAST! Electric stuff is crazy fast these days but this buggy absolutely rips and is faster than I thought it would be and faster than my old MP7.5 sports readyset I had back in 2004. Great deal, highly suggest it as a first or potential pool to dip your feet in to get into racing. Shipped fast and I talked to a guy in the phone at Amain for 40 minutes before pulling the trigger. If your unsure call them and talk to them about type of fuel, glow plugs or wherever you may need. I’m running the VP racing “PowerMaster Nitro Race 25% Car Fuel (9% Castor/Synthetic Blend)” I got the suggested “Protek Nitro starter set” listed in the add. And a temp gun.

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
This is my first Nitro Buggy. It came by FedEx well packaged and delivered super fast. I just followed the instruction manual and everything went smooth. Added AA batteries to both TX/RX and filled the tank with Cool Power 20% Race Blend and after applying the cylinder head heater (by Dynamite) and glow igniter- Inferno started right up on the 4th or 5th pull. I didn’t touch the carburetor settings. Ran 4 or 4.5 tanks for break in. Gave it a test run on the drive way. Oops, the engine stops. Tried to restart the engine but the engine seized up. Took apart the Pullstart and found the one way bearing jammed up. I removed the entire pullstart assembly with backplate and spring - replaced it with “Dynamite Pull Start Eliminator Backplate”. Now the engine runs better than ever. How did I start the engine - I got the “Kyosho Multi Starter Box Pro 2.0” which works awesome with a 3 cell Lipo Battery. The Kyosho inferno mp10 ready set buggy is a lot of fun bashing. For racing - it may need a few upgrades. 1) to use Lipo or Life for RX - need to upgrade both RX and servos. Looked at the spec sheet and it’s rated TO 6v. Life battery would work but I be afraid for the RX or Throttle servo failing and have a runaway buggy. 2) get rid of the switch (just to remove a piece of the puzzle that can fail). 3) Get Kyosho long shock boots 4) get rid of the pull starter (creates lot of internal engine drag) 5) tires it came with seems descent but invest in tires that meets your local track. Anyway, it’s a fun buggy and a blast to drive - I highly recommend it and gave it 5 stars.

Kyosho Inferno MP10 ReadySet 1/8 Nitro Buggy (Red)
Let me tell you, this thing slaps!

After a decade of being out of the hobby I picked one of these up and have not been disappointed. The quality of this RTR is very good for the price and I have not broken anything so far after about a half dozen bash sessions and multiple crashes.

I read and followed the instructions in the manual for setup and break-in and the MP10 has ran great from the start. It has been very easy to tune, and break-in was a breeze. They send include a "break-in ring" to put in the intake of the carb that restricts the air-flow, providing a more controlled break-in procedure that is only five tanks long.

The powerplant is excellent. The engine has great power, the carb holds a tune all day, and the tuned pipe has a nice deep, free-flowing sound to it. While it doesn't have the insane torque of a brushless system, there's still plenty enough power to satisfy a thirsty trigger finger. It will roast the tires no problem on any surface and if you like doing donuts, this thing will spin like a top for you on 20% nitro.

The suspension is also great. The shocks are plush, easy to setup, and don't leak. The MP10 handles so well that even though it's almost constantly trying to get sideways, it's always easy to control and direct. I did find adding some shims to the front hinge pins and wheel carries did add some extra stability for me though.

The electronics however are probably it's weakest point. The transmitter and receiver kick ass but the servos are pretty mediocre and cannot handle LiFe or Lipo receiver packs and so out of the box it is setup to take AA batteries to power everything, weak! The battery box is nice and big though so you can upgrade to a Lipo pack and fit it in there no problem, there is even mounting points for an electronic power switch as well, so with some extra money you can have this thing up to modern standards without any modifications to the chassis.

The hardware is Philips which is certainly not my preference, but it has not been as bad as I thought it would. I've been using my electric screwdriver with standard US bits and have not had any issues with the JIS screws.

All things considered I still gave it a 5 out of 5 because personal preferences aside, this thing does run well out of the box. I just hate dealing with AA batteries and low volt electronics.

Another positive thing that I have not seen mentioned about the MP10 are the differentials. On the MP9 there was a lot of ire because the front, center, and rear differentials only contained two bevel gears each. I assumed this would be the case for the MP10 as well, but I can confirm that there are four bevel gears per differential on the MP10! Hooray for bevel gears!!

TL;DR:
Let me tell you, this thing slaps!
