The 240 in rally trim is exceptionally fun and gorgeous with its looks and details. While it’s certainly good to run as is out of the box, you can definitely dial it in more adding some higher viscosity shock oil and I added the lightest sway bars front and back on mine. Stock motor has plenty of power and speed, enough that I’ve dialed the speed down some to keep the car more under control and scale like in action. Radio lets you dial in trim and the amounts of steering, throttle and reverse/brake. With the speed cut back to what is useable where I’m running it, the 550 motor is staying nice and cool and that is with the cover in place on the chassis to keep things out of the inside where all the electronics are. I did add some Velcro to the sides of the chassis and the clear cover to help seal it up and keep dirt and water out. It’s quite effective that way.

I also have the Subaru WRC Fazer in rally trim and setup and have it set up with medium stiffness sway bars. Both cars run the same with the same chassis although the Subaru wheeelbase is 200mm wide and the 240 is 190mm. I got the 240 more for off-road running because its body doesn’t go below the bottom of the chassis. It doesn’t bang or hang on things. The Subaru body extends a bit below the chassis and will hit things occasionally.

These rally cars set up with higher ground clearance really are a good thing for those with less than smooth surfaces to run on. RTR versions get you going in minutes and are a great value for what they are.
