The Curtis P-40 Fighter Bomber with the distinctive Trixie painted on its nose was one of the most recognizable during World War II. Used by the Army Air Corps and the United Kingdom, this famous aircraft exceeded 300 mph with the 1360 HP Allison engine and eventually the Rolls Royce with more improvements to the airframe. The Kyosho P-40 is an "E" model sporting six 12.7mm wing mounted cannons of which 2,320 were produced.

Kyosho now produces this famous fighter/bomber with a precise factory assembled balsa and light ply main fuselage, tail feathers and wings. All surfaces are expertly covered with a strong lightweight covering. The covering material is applied in layers to replicate the unique camouflage pattern with decals already applied for you. Noteworthy is the rounded shape of the fuselage and the concave rear cockpit windows. The attention to detail carries through to the fiberglass cowl and is painted to match the fuselage colors.

Kyosho Curtiss P40 Warhawk 50EP ARF
I'm running a Power 60 motor, 100A ESC, 7.5A BEC, 3300 mAh 6S Lipo and 12x8 3 blade prop. I use a Spektrum DX8 and love the features it provides for flying this model. You'll need six servos and a minimum of 6 channels. Something cool that the DX8 can do is slow any servo down, so that when I deploy the landing gear or flaps, they come down nice and scale like. This plane flies solid and predictably. By my second flight I felt comfortable enough with it to buzz by some low level, high speed passes. My final AUW is 7lbs, 2 oz. Building it was fun, but more involved than any other ARFs I've built. You should be at least an intermediate pilot to fly this bird. Landings have to be soft and smooth or you'll buckle the landing gear.

Kyosho Curtiss P40 Warhawk 50EP ARF
This is by far the best p40 I have ever flown. And believe me, I have gone through every p40 from every other supplier. This plane is excellent at fast or slow speeds with superb handling. This model also is a very easy build and is absolutely beautiful when complete. It doesn't get any better!
