The KST BLS662 Waterproof Brushless Digital Servo provides a blend of reliability, performance, features, and price point, previously never found within the Waterproof Servo category of Radio Control! The KST BLS662 is an excellent choice as a drop in replacement for most 1/16 and 1/10 scale cars such as Traxxas, HPI, MST, Axial, and many more which feature a standard 25T servo horn.

By owning a Waterproof servo in common Ready to Run vehicle platforms, drivers of all age can experience hours of play time without the need of worrying about splashing through puddles, driving in the rain, or crashing into deep standing water. Adding to the waterproof feature, by being both Brushless and Digital, drivers will experience an excellent servo life that can be transplanted from vehicle to vehicle as experience grows and the need for a waterproof servo is desired. Additionally, Brushless servos benefit from lower current draw on the ESC BECs, providing additional benefits of not requiring a glitch buster in most scenarios.

KST BLS662 Waterproof Brushless Standard Digital Metal Gear Servo
This is my first digital servo, and while the experience was a bit different, it’s been a solid choice overall. Right out of the box, I noticed it’s quite noisy, especially when stationary, and it seems to strain slightly at neutral. I reached out to aMain Hobbies support to confirm if this was normal, and they reassured me that it’s expected behavior for this type of servo—similar to Savox servos.

The servo is strong, responsive, and precise. My EPA (end point adjustments) were set to 50, so the servo wasn’t overextending, which is something to keep in mind when setting it up. After hearing from the experts, I’m no longer concerned about the noise—it’s just part of how digital servos operate.

Overall, I’m happy with its performance, and the reassurance from aMain’s support team made a big difference. If you’re new to digital servos, like I was, don’t let the noise throw you off. It’s perfectly normal and doesn’t impact its operation. Great option for those looking for a reliable, waterproof servo.
