This is the JConcepts B5M Honeycomb Light-Weight Chassis, a perfect upgrade for your Team Associated B5M or B5M Lite kit. This aircraft grade 7075 aluminum chassis features an eye-catching Honeycomb design that not only looks good, but maintains strength and rigidity thanks to it's unique pattern.
The chassis blank is hard anodized black and as a second operation, milled hex shaped pockets are added throughout the main surface removing weight. In the main electronics compartment, aluminum islands are left to allow an electrical footing area for mounting and wiring needs. The hex pockets in the center of the chassis have been cleared for sensor wire or miscellaneous wire routing. All edges of the honeycomb pockets have been highlighted with chamfered edging all around, bringing out an even more luxurious look.
The honeycomb chassis weighs in at 112 grams, some 23 grams less than a stock counterpart, all while still remaining structurally sound. Ideal for stock and modified racers, the chassis is a standout in the pit area as well with its appearance and high-end glossy looks. The chassis is etched with JC logo for branding and authenticity.
