iSDT FD-200 8S Smart LiPo Discharger (25A/200W)

FD 200 Discharger works very well. Had a difficult time trying to discharge part full batteries after race days or test sessions, taking several hours to get down to storage levels with LiPo batteries. FD 200 reduces this to a few minutes for a mix of 2S and 3S batteries, which is great. Initial concerns over the lack of a balancing port proved to be no problem. Cells remain closely balanced during discharge, you can monitor them separately during discharging, then after discharge just put the discharged cells on to storage charging (separate charger), which completes in 2-3 minutes, and includes final balancing as well.
Too easy, throw in the blue tooth monitoring and the very compact size, its a great solution, highly recommended. It works fast enough to use for pump-n-dump cycling on race days, which really sparks up the batteries for race use. You must follow all the LiPo regimen when doing this, but it works very well and it seems the batteries love to get a good work out.
Make sure it has plenty of clear air space around it, it dissipates a lot of heat very quickly.

ISDT makes great products, this discharger will drain a 5000 6s in 20 mins all while proving accurate information to your phone through BT

This thing would be great and 5 stars if the app works. I have a samsung android galaxy s21. I put the FD-200 in pairing mode, paired with the app, it connects, and shows the device but never updates any details.. Tried this 3 times, rebooted my phone, same results Pretty bad experience. Atleast there are physical buttons that still work for "Storage" mode at 3.8v, but now you can't touch the cell voltage settings.

If you use LiPo batteries this device will pay for itself. That should really be their catch phrase.

It's quick, it's efficient and it's accurate at draining partially used packs to a safe storage storage voltage.

If you have a smartphone you can use their free app to monitor and control it.

It works great. I used the ISD GO app on an iPhone 12 to update the FD-200 to the most current firmware version when I started it. I has maintained a connection to my phone every time that I have used it. It took the discharge time for a fully charged 3200mah 3s battery from over 4 hours using a Spektrum 2100 to under 15 minutes. The power connector is the XT60 format so make sure you get a XT60 to IC3 adapter before you use it to make you life easier.

It works great it can discharge a full gens ace 11000mah 4s in about 15 minutes. It does what I wanted it to do faster than I thought it could have plus it has Bluetooth app so you can check it from phone tablet

Discharger itself works well but is a bit noisy while in operation.

The app could use a lot of work. For one it only offers mWhours for capacity, while mAhours is what batteries are rated at. Also a graphing function would be useful-one of their competitors offers it on theirs. In fact in retrospect I seriously wish I had purchased that one instead.

You are unable to check out the app unless you actually have the discharger connected. No way to look at it unless you buy it.

The discharger itself does a good job so I'll give it two stars. The App loses 3 stars. It is something that can be fixed and if it is I'll change my rating. As it stands I cannot recommend this for purchase.
