Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster Mini Brushed 180 Motor for Traxxas TRX-4M (87T)
I love this motor! For $16 you can't beat it. I'm using it with the stock Traxxas radio (for now) and the off neutral low throttle response is impeccable. The only drawback with this motor is that it does not have as much drag brake when decending steep down hills. Compared to the stock Traxxas Titan motor(in stock trail mode). With an aftermarket ESC/Radio this motor would definitely outperform the stock setup. Honestly, for a trail rig I can't see any advantage to a brushless system that is way more expensive. Throw this in your trx4m get some good tires and and go hit the trail. One other note that I'll mention is that you may have to reverse the motor leads at the esc. Both wires are black and hard to tell which way to plug into the esc.

This is an amazing motor. It’s way more powerful than the stock and plugs right in to the ECM. It got wet a few times and overheated a few times and it finally bound up and died after a couple months. Considering the things it was put through, I’m satisfied with this motor.
