I love this motor, it is so awesome, the low speed control is just insane. I can get my trx4 blazer, which weighs around 13 pounds, to move so slow you might as well watch the grass grow. Yet stick it in 2nd gear and rip a massive wheelie. I was running 1080 hobbywings with holmes hobbies crawlmasters, which is an awesome set up. But I think I'm slowly gonna convert all my crawlers to this set up.
As for people saying you have to order the card to program it, if you have a 1080 or a different kv fusion the card thays with those will work. My 1080 program card worked just fine and saved me from needing to purchase a separate card. Seeing as I have 6 1080 set ups I can spare a card to tune this
This motor was a game changer.Low end controllable tork is awesome.High end speed still there .Easy installation, was quick like leval one .Get the programming card I am 62 and still figured it out .Lots of great info on the web for set up
I purchased this for a Gmade R1 and it fits perfectly in the tiny chassis. There’s enough room left over I can carefully tuck a tiny 3S 1300mah Lipo in the cage. It’s so quiet I can sneak up on my sleeping dog and run over his tail b4 he even knows what happened. This a great motor for limited space and has awesome control and even better start up. I don’t even notice the slop in the drivetrain. It’s a great motor buggy combo to toss into a backpack and go hiking with. It’s not gonna climb a vertical rock face but it’s perfect on the hiking trails where I go. I highly recommend this Fusion 2-in-1
Outstanding combo. I replaced the stock motor in a Phoenix RTR with this and the difference was very noticeable. Slow speed modulation was much better and the truck crawls much slower now. Programming is very easy with the programming controller (Not included). If you can set a digital alarm clock, you can program this. It has plenty of power for a 5+LB crawler.
works very well. the drag brake/hill hold is very impressive only thing that would make this thing slide is the tires losing grip. take it from the box and install in truck I have 2 of these 2 different truck completely different applications and haven't even plugged it in to tune it. Very user friendly so simply. BOX TO TRUCK TO CRAWL!
I use this in my crawler and the power is smooth. What I real like about it is how clean it make the build and eliminates a lot of wires.
Really great product. Loved putting it in. Works great on the Capra, however for those putting it in with a stock skid and stock transmission, it will not fit. You need to buy a flat skid to get it to fit. I would recommend this for any crawler.
Best motor I have ever used so far. I absolutely love it. Programing is great. Not to mention Amain Hobbies. Love this store, so easy to order from and so quick with shipping. My "go to" when I need something now. I have Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin Ca. but The last 3 times I have been there I have struck out, meaning they didn't have what I needed. AMain always has what I'm looking for.
This is such a great system! As others have stated the low speed control and the power are amazing! If you're reading this and haven't ordered one, do it, as soon as it's back in stock! That speaks volumes also! Amain is awesome! Keep up the great work team!
Louder than the 1800kv, but just as impressive. No program box is included with this, but there is a sticker included if you have one already. Also note that the lcd program box does NOT work with this.
Very good trail rig. The 2-in-1 makes install a snap. We have these in our TRX-4 Sports. Does not come with program card. FYI the AXE version with FOC has built in Bluetooth, so a card is not necessary.
Amain Hobbies 2 thumbs up all around service always delivering the goods
I already have 2 of the Hobbywing Fusion 1800kv systems in 2 other rigs and they’re nothing short of amazing. I replaced one of the 1800kv models for the 2300kv Pro because I wanted some extra wheel speed. Can size is smaller (between a regular 540 motor and a 550 motor) which will help if you have an application in which a 550 won’t fit. The 2300 seems to be just as impressive with low speed control and has an amazing drag brake just as the other Fusion motors. Best bang for the buck if looking for a seriously capable crawler motor/esc. Amain got it to my door quickly which is a bonus!
Don't forget to order an LED programming card...unless you already own one. The Fusion Pro 2300KV is sold with no programming card.
I already had HW LED cards so it was no biggie in the end.
Mounted in a TRX4 Sport with front overdrive, stock 17t pinion & 39t spur.
These motor/esc's are just amazing in my opinion. So, so smooth...especially at low throttle. It's hard to put into words the amount of control you have.
I was hesitant to try the Fusion systems at first. I have a 2800kv Axe 540 installed in one of my trucks and it is flat out amazing. So I saw no reason to go away from that. The Fusion Pro is easier to install since there is no ESC to wire up and mount. Just mount the motor to your motor mount and arrange the wires neatly, Done! Go play.
The 2300kv power is really good and plenty of "too much power" for a typical crawler. I'm glad I held off from the 1800kv Fusions and got the 2300kv, but the 1800kv works just as awesome. I would probably not be able to tell the difference in 500kv.
Should've bought two since they sold out so fast.
Props to Amain Hobbies as always! I don't know how you guys do it, but please keep on keepin' on. Up to date stock and quick shipping.
Excellent product for crowlers , fast delivery and good price.
This is my third motor and the truth is I will continue using it in other RCs.
This is an excellent choice for trail trucks and competition crawlers. I ordered this motor after a friend recommended it, and I am so glad I did. I put this motor in a Vanquish Phoenix Portal kit and I am running the factory gearing. This motor is EXTREMELY smooth at any speed. I usually run it on 2 cell because it has plenty of power and speed, for the most part. I throw that caveat in there because when I walk along a trail with the Phoenix I have to drive it at almost full throttle for it to keep up with my pace. I have not drove it on a trail on 3 cell, but, for what little I have drove it on 3 cell, it is a good bit faster. The only other downside to this motor is it is somewhat finicky when you set it up and bind it to a radio. The instructions for this are not the greatest.
After my great experience with this motor in my Phoenix, I bought another one for my competition based truck. My competition truck is a G-Speed v3 chassis with the Team Garage Hack 2Low transmission (using the recommended gearing) with Vanquish F10 portal axles. If you are running a setup with this chassis and transmission, you will have to make an adapter that raises the motor up and backwards so everything clears in addition to making a new front output shaft for the transmission because the original one is too short. I originally had a Holmes Hobbies Revolver with a Sidewinder 4 esc in it, but I was tired of the jerk that motor had when you first started moving and the loud wining noise. The Hobbywing Fusion eliminated both of those problems because it is silent when you are barely crawling and only a little louder when driving along a trail. The loudest noise you hear at speed is gear noise. The other big thing this motor is great at is it has no jerk when you start moving from a start. This is especially useful when you've stopped on a slope going downhill. You can gently press the throttle and the truck will gently start moving. No jerk whatsoever. Just smooth power. This motor is also almost as strong as the Holmes Hobbies full sized revolver 540. I have ran the Hobbywing Fusion on 3 cell in this truck and it does great.
This motor does get warm when driving for extended times on a trail. It has gotten hot after a trail run in my Phoenix (on 2 cell) but not to the point where it shut itself off (I run it on the lower temperature cutoff). After a trail run in my competition based truck (on 2 cell) the motor was perfectly cool. Overall it stays at an acceptable temperature.
The Hobbywing Fusion is also super easy to program with the program card (sold separately).
I use the built in BEC that this motor has. I have used Castle Creations BEC's in the past but I don't think that is necessary with this motor, unless you are running more voltage than the factory BEC can take. I run my servos at the lowest BEC setting and they are perfectly fine. I run a Reefs RC Raw 800 LP and a Reefs RC 800 IS Winch in my Phoenix as well as cheap ECO Power shift servos and they all do amazing. My comp truck runs a NSDRC RS1 servo and again no problems.
I strongly recommend this motor.
Great setup except it wouldn't work with my spectrum smart esc receiver which doesn't seem to be documented anywhere so had to get a different recevier.
Awesome job Hobbywing! I installed the 2300Kv in my Vanquish H10 Optic. It will crawl so slow that you can barely see it move. Punch the throttle and hold on to the steering wheel because she flys. Being that the motor is slightly longer you need to trim the skid plate at the inboard suspension mount slightly, nothing too crazy. Enjoys!
The motor is really great for a upgrade it has so many features it’s not loud it really amazing for the price I would recommend to people that don’t have it.
