Hobbywing QuicRun 10BL120 G2 Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL
Great System. I am running it in a slash 2wd and it has been a blast. The gearing that I am using is 32 pitch 16tooth pinion and 54 tooth spur, while using it with a spectrum 30 c 5000mah 3s. The vehicle will do wheelies on demand at maximum punch; however I am running larger tires - Badlands 2.8. I am easily getting over 50+ /- mph but the motor has been running rather warm. Operating temperatures are between 120 to 160 Fahrenheit in 88 degree weather. I would recommend running a 13 tooth pinion instead so the motor will run cooler and have more torque off the line. Also installing a wheelie bar is highly recommended. Cons: the motor cogs at low speeds. I do not know what Hobbywing did but the motor is crazy loud when you turn its shaft. Its sounds like bad gear mesh. Nevertheless, for an $90.00 combo it is beyond my expectations in terms of power output. I would recommend this over the castle creations sidewinder 4 combo just because I felt like the 3652 castle motors run hotter in the slash to achieve a similar power band. However, if you like esc's that run buttery smooth and cold like the sidewinder 4; I will not argue with you, expect for the fact that Hobbywing is IP-67 grade waterproof and does not have a dinky power switch.
