ESC Overview:

EZRun Max8 G2s Brushless ESC. The ESC features three built-in 680uF capacitors, enhancing performance by 74% (870uF) compared to the MAX8 ESC. These large capacitors eliminate the need for external capacitors on your vehicle. It also includes a patented frameless fan design, which rapidly transfers internal heat to the integrated housing radiator. High airflow from the fan's side and a copper thermal conduction sink on the internal power plate ensure efficient cooling. This design maintains the ESC's reliability and optimal thermal condition.

  • Enhanced waterproof and dust-proof design for various climates.
  • Built-in 6A/15A switch mode BEC, supports 6V/7.4V/8.4V servos.

Hobbywing EZRun Max8 G2s 1/8 Waterproof Brushless ESC w/XT90 Plug
I am by no means a pro racer but I have been in the hobby off and on for the last 30yrs. The last 10yrs I've been sticking to electric buggies primary the Arrma brand and when I picked up my recent Typhon 6s TLR Roller I just threw in my spare Spektrum 150A ESC & 6S Motor which my all means worked fine for what I do. I decided I wanted to go up a set in quality and try out a sensored ESC & Motor. I bought this Max8 G2S along with their matching 4268sd Motor which unfortunately made my car just a 4s vehicle because of the motors 2500kv rating. So far the build quality and ability to adjust esc settings or do Firmware updates right from my phone is very nice and convenient. The esc and app can also track & display the current Motor temp, ample draw, rpm, etc..., which is very cool and useful but as down as the car gets more than 10ft away it disconnects from esc? So far this has been a great ESC 160A for my TLR Typhon and along with this stuff and adding quality 7075, Titanium & Carbonfiber parts I have shed some weight and even on 4s with a 16t pinion & 40mm fan the motors temp easily stays under 120°F. The 17t pinion heats up little bit more but the 40mm running helps keep that under control & cool. Ive ran about #6 Ovonics 4S 15.2v 140C hard shell battery packs with removable 5mm bullet plugs through this ESC and motor and so far everything's been kosher.
