I've has these servos for quite a while. This is a high torque servo, and a slower servo as described in the numbers in the specs. So why is there a bunch of complaining with these servos???? If you don't understand the numbers in the specs, then get off your ass and call Amain for help!!!!!
Theres nothing wrong with this servo, or at least nothing wrong with the one i have. it has a VERY slight centering problem, and i cant tell when im driving. it is very quiet too. i like it.
Excellant value! Torquey and reasonably quick. Cant beat it for the money.
been running these for a few years now and always worked great for me. Reasonable speed wise....yes Cyber speed....well no.
i put this in my tamiya cw01 pajero and it works great, def not a high torque or high speed, but it it good for backyard runners.
Works great in my 1/10 scale m chassis budget build! Havent had any problems with it and have used it very frequently. Would recommend
I used this Hitec HS-645MG in my Tamiya Bull Head. Though the truck is all custom, it still uses the stock style steering system with one servo mounted in the bottom of the aluminum chassis (Sassy Chassis) that steers all four wheels. This servo works great in my truck and it did not break the bank. As far as price versus performance, there is no better deal on today's R/C market for a steering servo in my opinion. The HS-645MG has been in production for many years now and that is because it just works and it is very affordable. Sure there are better servos that easily out-perform it, but they all cost a lot more. For the price, the HS-645MG cannot be beat in my book.
Best attention to customer, many tks.
Keep up the good work.
Best regards
Luis
I have this servo in my traxxas sport maxx which i bought a few years ago. i bought it when the traxxas one went bad which wasn't very long and it has worked great for me. no complaints at all.
Decent Servo for the money. Hitec has great customer support.
Bought this servo for an Engineering project and while it works well at 5v, it kept glitching and failing to go to the correct positions at 6v. Would not recommend considering i could not get the maximum torque out of it due to voltage issues.
mine broke the same day on my buggy, no good, trash!!!!!!!!!
One word describes this servo, JUNK. Its slow its unreliable and just junk through and through. I bought one of these when i was in a bind and could not get my hands on a futaba, Never again would i buy one. Get the Futaba s3305, so much faster, 100% reliable, and the usual futaba quailty. I had one of each in a car and the futaba leaves it standing, this testing is of course in the real worls and not whats on the box, although they say they have the same speed at 6 volts the futaba is atleast twice as fast.
One word....JUNK!!!!!!!!! Really slow and fails quick. Used one has a backup servo for T/B and wasnt even worth the time . If you want a cheap good trq. servo go with a JR 650m great servo and its only 50.00
Michael, how can you say its even reasonably quick. Mine is really slow.
not a good servo for 1/8 buggy to slow i even try more powerful reveier batteries and it was still to slow, the centering is terrible this only seems to happen with the cheaper hitecs for some reason , one good thing is the torque is pretty good
THIS IS BOLLOCKS I IS TELLIN YA :p...nah had one on my throttle/brake...KAPOOF...only one heat, total crap. My EPA was set an it still went. DONT GO THERE, spend the extra and get an ACE 1313.
Tried to buy this at my local store and they had it priced at $65, when I showed them the $29 from the website they said “we sell it for this price” I.e. $65. Needless to say I’ll take my business to an online retailer, for that price I could get a good servo, not this wimpy one which was gonna be a throw-away in a week anyway.
