Don Lowe’s Phoenix-series of airplane designs dominated pattern aerobatics during the 70’s and 80's. Their point-and-shoot precision and slippery, swept-wing aerodynamics completely revolutionized the precision aerobatic scene. And while all of them still enjoy a sizable fan base today, the Phoenix 7 is considered by many aficionados to be the best of the bunch. Now you too can experience the ballistic aerobatic performance of the Phoenix 7 in a fraction of the time it would take to build a kit with this exceptional ARF from Hangar 9. Built using original Don Lowe plans and molds, it shares the exact same dimensions and construction as a scratch-built Phoenix 7 kit right down to the fiberglass fuselage and fully-sheeted wing and horizontal stab.
Hangar 9 has even gone so far as to deck it out with the same trim scheme the Phoenix 7 champion pilot Mark Radcliff flew in F3A World Championship competitions from 1975 – 1981. Add to all this the fact it comes out of the box ready to accept retracts and any lightweight .60-size 2-stroke engine with a tuned pipe and you’ve got a blast from the past that’s truly a blast to fly.
