This is the Hangar 9 FS One Flight Simulator with USB Mode 2 Controller included. This
version also includes adapter cords in the box for JR, HiTec and Futaba
radios so you
can plug your transmitter into the FS One’s USB connector and enjoy the
ultimate in realism. You can also use this simulator with the Spektrum
SPM1800 Wireless Simulator Interface with any Spektrum based
transmitter for total wireless control!
Don't Just See It- Feel It. FS One gives you more than photorealistic fields, gorgeous skies and realistic-looking aircraft.
With FS One you get more than photorealistic fields, gorgeous skies and realistic looking aircraft. You get incredibly advanced aerodynamic modeling that simulates every possible aspect of real-world flight. Post stall effects, tip stalls, torque and gyroscopic effects, propwash, ground effect, wind, thermals, turbulence—FS One’s high-fidelity aerodynamics engine accurately models them all and how they affect whatever you fly.
FS One’s flight modeling is so true to life, you will really feel the difference between bigger scale and smaller scale airplanes. From the heavy response of a 33% Edge 540 in high-alpha to the featherlight-feel of a profile foamie hushing down in a harrier landing, what you see on the screen you will sense on the sticks. You can even use the super-simple Scaling Wizard and Aircraft Editor tools to increase or decrease the size of any airplane and its power output. FS One will realistically depict the effect of these changes on flight behavior, giving you a virtually limitless number of aircraft variants to fly.
Some of FS One’s most impressive aerodynamic features include:
- Airplane flight models developed by renowned aerodynamicist, Michael Selig, Ph.D.
- Extensive high-alpha (high angle of attack) "post stall" effects
- High-fidelity aerodynamic modeling that accurately depicts the effects encountered during 3D maneuvers, such as:
- Hovers
- Harriers
- Blenders
- Torque Rolls
- Walls
- Elevators
- Parachutes
- Waterfalls
- Rolling Harriers
- Knife Edge/Knife-Edge Spins
- Spins
- Lomchevaks and more
- Realistic-stalls, including tip stalls
- Engine/propeller torque and gyroscopic effects
- Ground effect and propwash effects
- User-definable wind, thermal, and turbulence effects
FS One gives you 5 3D and 20 photo-panoramic flying sites to choose from with grass and pavement surfaces modeled to have appropriate friction effects. You can also adjust your environment by changing wind speeds, wind direction and adding thermals. Not even the sky is the limit—you can enhance all of the 3D flying sites with over 40 different photoreal skyscapes to fit your mood.
FS One comes with incredibly detailed models of some of RC’s most popular airplanes, sailplanes, helicopters and park flyers.
Visual features include:
- Moving control surfaces
- Landing gear and wings that flex under load
- Photorealistic textures
- Reflective surfaces
- Smoke and exhaust effects
- Colors, trim schemes and decals you can customize with most any graphics editor
Every model’s size and power, along with numerous other parameters, can be adjusted using FS One’s powerful Aircraft Editor and Scaling Wizard tools. This means you have a virtually limitless number of variants for any given model, each with completely unique flight characteristics.
Your Transmitter or Our Controller—
You Have Complete Control Customization
FS One’s extensive Transmitter Editor lets you simulate a huge number of programming and control changes and immediately see their effects. Mix channels, add expo, adjust endpoints, alter sub-trims—most anything you can do with top-of-the-line 7-channel programmable radio systems you can do with the FS One’s TacCon controller. You can also augment transmitter functions with your keyboard.
Of course, realistic aerodynamics and environments don’t make for a truly authentic RC sim experience if you can’t use the same transmitter you use at the field. FS One includes adapter cords for JR, HiTec and Futaba radios so you can plug your transmitter into the FS One’s USB connector and enjoy the ultimate in realism. Adapter cords for other makes of radios are also available separately.

Well, its got common planes, and helis but not too many that are hardcore. Heli selections were limited. Model slections for heli are expanded by selecting heli with training gear, or just regular heli. Lots of good modifications though. You can customize engine power, aerodynamics, servo travel, rates, gyro gains, etc....The controller is light weight, but designed to look as real as possible. Comes with USB to dongle box, and the 3 other connectors that can connect to the dongle box. 1 being the radio controller that came with this kit, second is a wire that plugs into your own Spectrum, headphone style plug to the dongle box cable, third is a wire that plugs into old style Futaba radio systems big round circular jack and the other end into the dongle box.
Its a bit confusing, this is my first simulator.. it has very little smoke in my opinion for nitro engines, it would almost seem the engine is runing lean!! haha, but it runs fine, good grief, no break-in required to run these planes.
