Excellent batteries. I have 3 of them I use frequently for 1/8 buggy racing/practice, and all of them have had similar internal resistance (about 4 milliohm per cell, give or take 3 milliohm). I jotted down the resistance readings when brand new, and periodically I'll check them and add to the notes to monitor the health of the batteries, and after 5 months of heavy use, these are still right in line with what they showed when new. I don't like how expensive they are, and you might get the same results with a much cheaper no-name battery for all I know, but these are solid. Since I only charge at 1C max (usually less if I'm not pressed for time), I expect to get 2-3 years or more out of these. Meanwhile, all my friends at the track charge batteries at whatever their chargers max out at, then puff up batteries at the 6 month mark and claim "that's normal battery life for racing." I storage charge mine if I don't expect to get to run in the next 2 days, and this has worked for me so far.
Very good bang for the buck. Has a lot of punch and I haven't noticed any fade all the way to the low voltage cutoff. I picked this pack for the amount of capacity and the price compared to the protek options which I was planning to get and I am happy with my choice. Im not a racer so having the best you can buy isn't my priority.
Great buy! Price was right. I’ve raced this battery several times in my 1/8 scale, works as it should.
Great battery lots of power! 1st real race with them will be tomorrow I can't wait!
After 3 months of club racing. 1 cell went bad.
I wonder if they can replace it .
Love this battery so far it seems to be well built I been running it for two months and I swear the battery looks brand new and the cells balance out evenly I’ll
WOW....just a great battery with excess punch and power. Using in a tekno EB48.4. NO fade, just power. Just as good as other big name brands if not better.
This battery has good performance, so far I would recommend it.
3 runs bad cell returning. .........................
Battery showed up dead. Cells 1&2 showing good voltage. Cell 3 doesn't even register, and Cell 4 shows 0 Volts. Going to try to exchange maybe for ProteK.
I’ve been running these in my new Tenno EB 48 2.0 and they are working great. The man at Thornhill raceway turned me on to these and I think they are great.
Internal resistance is good after one charge. Great packaging
Great battery so far. I was a little turned off with Gens ace reg chemistry batteries puffing for no reason, other than high draw from the ESC? I decided to try one of these due to the low weight and high output. So far the battery has delivered. plenty of punch and runtime, battery is a true 6000ma. I have had 2 practice sessions and a full 2 day event on one battery, and so far it is like new.
Ordered 2 of there plus a protek prodigy 610 quad charger 1 battery has already puffed the other is ok. I am religious about pitting into storage mode and have my esc to cut off at 3.8v as well so never over discharged. I run them for 10 min at a time and then have a cool down cycle so they arent getting hot. No idea what to do with them they have 3 charges on each of them but the puffed one i refuse to run. Not sure it amain has a warranty on these or not. A friend has the 7500 man batteries but no puffing on either of his. I guess I may have to buy a set of those. I would switch to protek but I have one of theirs that is puffed even worse as well.
UPDATE:
contacted Amain and they are replacing batteries under warranty with a request to take them to be properly recycled. Luckily I have a batteries plus that will recycle them for me for free. THANK YOU AMAIN Yall are amazing!
I can't give this product a good review, because after only 3 cycles, I'm noticing puffing already. I'm nervous to keep using it.
First off the negative connection point came damaged slightly out of box but worked as normal so i went uh stuff happens, but now the irs are all out of what and sometimes wont even charge.
Ive used Gen Ace Redline batteries but not real happy with them. Cases crack and have error for balance port. Will look at different brands. Also to check battery inbetween races the bal ance cable is on bottom below where 5mm bulletes connect.I have to just about pull battery out to check it.
So far so good on battery just have a week or so of ownership decent delivery a lil high delivery charge compared to competitors but hopefully Amain has better customer service if needed
Battery ran fine first 3 charges. Now it errors out on my charger something about balance plug. Put the battery into storage mode after the first 3 runs, then I go to charge it for a 4th time (about a week between runs) and it won't charge. I have two of these and one works as it should, the other wont charge... For the money I'll just get 3 chinese specials next time...
Bought 2 of these a month/6 weeks ago and the first has already puffed.
Really disappointed for a battery that costs $130.
