Battery Overview:

The Gens Ace Redline 2S 130C 6000mAh Hardcase LiPo Battery Pack, with a factory installed 5.0mm bullets has a high-capacity, high-discharge rate that gives you the power and run-time you expect from all Gens ace RC car lipo batteries.

Features:

  • Stable automatic stacking technology enables single cell capacities of 6000mAh.
  • The most strict single cell capacity, voltage, resistance, discharge curve matching process.
  • Superior Japan and Korea Lithium Polymer raw materials.
  • Standard 5.0mm bullets

IMPORTANT LITHIUM POLYMER SAFETY INFORMATION

  • DO NOT leave a battery in your model when charging
  • DO NOT leave lithium batteries unattended when charging
  • ALWAYS balance charge lithium battery
  • ALWAYS use a LiPo Safe charging bag/box
  • YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge lithium batteries (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
  • YOU MUST not over discharge lithium battery packs
  • READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in overheated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for the first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use a battery that has too low a voltage. Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at temperatures above 35°C or in a closed car. The high-temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging, or racing, do not charge it until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

Using this battery in a 1/10 late model car. It has extremely good punch and balances well. I would definitely recommend this battery!

Gens Ace Redline 2S 130C LiHV Battery Pack w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6000mAh)
I picked up a couple of these for my new TLR 22 5.0 Elite and Tekno EB410.2 that I built last month as I wanted a couple packs that gave me the highest mah/runtime without concern of weight or the packs size, plus my LHS had them in stock for $90.00 and the only other options they had were the 3600mah Maclan which are smaller than I wanted, and I already had picked up the 4500mah Maclan with the TLR kit as that was the biggest sharty they had at the time, and after running one time I decided that I wanted to get at least 5000mah packs going forward. While I've only cycled these Gens Ace packs 2 times each so far, Im super impressed with them to this point and will update the review if anything changes in the future. So far they show plenty of runtime and tons of punch with the 130c rating. Both cars completely rip with the Hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 Stealth 6.5 (Tekno) and 7.5 (22 5.0) combos that I decided to try with them. Super impressed so far with the electronics setups...

All 3 of my 1/8 scale Tekno rigs as well as my SCT410.3 have been running 4 of the previous generation non "plus" Protek 4s 6500mah 100c LiHV packs that I ordered with all the kits when I got them in October of 2018, and they have been great although 2 of them have started to have one or 2 cells discharge unevenly and my charger shows those same 2 packs have raised IR levels compared to the others... Being 1.5 years old with around 50 cycles each now Im going to relegate these 4 to backup/bashing/practice duties and replace them with new ones. I also have a pair of the 3s 3600mah versions for my highly modified TRX-4, and while i get around an hour runtime and they have less than 10 cycles each on the same timeframe, I still plan on upgrading to the newer 4100mah versions. However all of the Protek 4s packs have been discontinued over the last couple weeks, and with all the Maclan 2s shorty and 4s packs also on backorder, Im stuck waiting for someone to make their stuff available. If they werent all on back order I would have grabbed a few of the Maclan V3 6100mah shortys as those are what I really wanted to try this time. I also wish some of these better brand name companies would offer a variety of 3s packs in a hard case with bullet connectors, as well as a 6s. I just grabbed the newer Protek 6s LiHV pack to try out in my UDR and after one run it appears to far outperform the pair of traxxas 5000mah 3s packs i had used previously. Anyway, my battery rant is over, now lets get some of these back in stock A-Main so I can give you more of my money!!

Gens Ace Redline 2S 130C LiHV Battery Pack w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6000mAh)
After a month of use no issues with these things. Plenty of power left after eight minute mains on a decent sized track, running two in series for an RC8B4E, just under 7.9V left after the mains.

Gens Ace Redline 2S 130C LiHV Battery Pack w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6000mAh)
These batteries are the worst I have ever used dispite being charged and discharged as required. I have batteries that are 5 yrs old and run like the day I bought them. These batteries are just about a year old and are bloating and over heating in the same cars I run my other batteries in. Don't waste your money. I will have to scrap both of them within the month and never buy another one.

Gens Ace Redline 2S 130C LiHV Battery Pack w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6000mAh)
these batteries are crap! They might last 1 season and if they do last 1 season they will not be any good for the second season. I did the storage charge and everything and when I went to charge them up to start practicing for season 2 on these batteries 1 says connection break the other says cell error. I've got a good balance charger and everything and they will not charge! WAY WAY WAY too much money to just last 1 season.
