Flite Test Power Pack C (Fixed Wing Large)

I have purchased a number of the various Power Packs from FLITE TEST and the Power Pack C is one of many.
I found the C power pack Motor & ESC to be more than adequate for most of the FLITE TEST kits and scratch builds I have made, but it must be noted that when you build one of their kits, or do a scratch build off their plans, weight & CG are important to get optimum performance from the motor.
I like the fact that the power packs are somewhat matched to the DIY Kits and that the Power Packs contain most of the items you need to finish building one of the their scratch builds or one of their Kits. Of course you still need a BATTERY, a TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER to be ready to fly.
I've built several scratch builds from the FLITE TEST Tiled plans that use the POWER PACK C and have not had any SERVO, ESC or MOTOR issues. I always check and center the Servos when I receive them, and test the ESC & MOTOR as well; maybe I'm just lucky, but I have never had a problem. That includes the A, B, C, and F Power Packs that I have purchased and I'm very satisfied with ALL of them.
Some nice things about the C POWER PACK: Getting a few extra servos (six in the C Power Pack), or in some cases enough servos to complete 2 kits is a nice plus, as is getting 2 props matched to the motor. Also getting the ESC and Motor, that are both fully connectorized so you don't have to do any soldering, is another plus. The battery bag, screw driver and hex driver are also nice to have, but once youv'e bought one power pack you really don't need another screw driver and hex driver, when you buy a second Power Pack. The battery bag may be useful as you grow your battery supply but getting one with every power pack is a bit more than you need. I've been very satisfied with all the Power Packs I've purchased but I do have a lot of extra screwdrivers, hex drivers, and a lifetime supply of battery bags. I've resorted to buying individual components instead of the Power Packs, but I do recommend you buy the appropriate power pack for your first builds.

Bought this pack from Flite Test along with the Simple Cub, my first foamboard plane. Bigger is better right? Actually I believe this motor is a bit much for the Cub as it proved to be a handful for a relatively new flyer getting back into RC flying after 40 years. But it performs well and I've moved it to some big foamboard scratch builds etc. The servos all have performed flawlessly, no glitches etc. I was at a Hobby Town store and saw the C pack on display that included a LiPo bag and decided to grab it and use on a scratch build Cub I'm doing with a 6' wingspan. I hope this motor with prop will be enough for it but I've been surprised with the power of this motor so I believe it's up to the task. So with 2 C Power Pack's purchased, I'm overall pleased with everything in this pack as it has a performed flawlessly for me.
