About the RV-8 60E G2
Advanced Electronics
The RV-8 60E G2 comes pre-installed with the Aura 8 Advanced Flight Control System (AFCS), a cutting-edge stabilization system that offers three customizable flight modes for optimal control. This system allows for seamless integration with any transmitter and ensures smooth, precise handling, whether you're flying with gyro assistance or not. The upgraded configuration of the Aura 8 AFCS brings a highly stable and enjoyable flying experience.
Innovative Airframe Design
Constructed from tough yet repairable EPO foam, the RV-8's hollow wing structure is reinforced with plywood and carbon fiber for enhanced durability and strength. This innovative design not only reduces weight but also improves the plane's maneuverability, making it highly responsive in both standard and advanced flight modes. The plywood sub-structure securely mounts the motor and provides exceptional stability, even at high power levels.
Night Version LED Lighting
The Night Version of the RV-8 60E G2 features internally mounted and pre-installed LEDs that illuminate the airplane from within for stunning night flights. The LEDs can be switched on and off via your transmitter** and are powered by an independent 3S LiPo battery through the 6S JST-XH balance tab on the LED controller. The servo lead of the LED controller is left unplugged by default, but if it's not connected to the Aura 8 or a receiver, it will automatically turn on when powered, making night flying possible even with a basic eight-channel transmitter or receiver.

*Tech Note: Photos showing optional floats installed are for illustrative purposes only. Floats are not included with either the day or night version, but are available for purchase separately.
**Tech Note: In order to control the LEDs from your transmitter, you must use a standard receiver that is capable of 9+ channels and keeps the servo ports active when using a digital data stream such as S.Bus. Additionally, it is required to use an independent 3S LiPo battery to power the LEDs. Failure to do so can damage your flight batteries.
***Tech Note: Plug-N-Play aircraft come equipped with some on-board electronics and still require a compatible transmitter for operation. Please check the Needed to Complete to make sure you have everything you need to get up in the air!
