Fantom FR-8 Pro 1/8 Competition Sensored Brushless ESC
It's a average esc in my opinion. Let me start off by saying it has a very small footprint and all wires are 10awg which I liked. Programming was simple with the correct programming card and it has a nice list of options the user can adjust. Now for the bad, first the internal bec is not very good, yes it does 7.4 volts but doesn't seem to supply enough amps for any above average servo. Throw any fans and timing at the motor and you just get brown outs left and right. External bec fixed the issue but for a few bucks more better off getting tekin, HW, or castle. The fan also stopped working after about the third time out. There fans have a special connector that goes to the esc so I actually ended up using a fan I had lying around and connecting to receiver. I have this esc in a tekno et48.3. I had this esc for about 3 months and run the truggy at least every other day. It's not a bad esc but I feel there are much better choices for around the same price.
