Exotek Flite 48 Pitch POM Pinion Gears are ultra lightweight, premium machined pinion gears for 17.5 class racing.

Machined from black pom (delrin), for that stealthy look, these gears offer extra quiet operation with full face teeth (4.5mm) for excellent mesh and durability.

They also incorporate a machined alloy keyed collar for secure mounting with the included heavy duty 3mm set screw that uses standard 1.5mm hex wrenches.

The alloy collar is polished, anodized in black and has the teeth size clearly laser engraved.

Note: For weight reference, the 26T is 1.1g; the 32T is only 1.5g.

It says right on the package 'do not over tighten'- there is no need to!
Have been using these for 2wd buggy and F1- super smooth and quiet.

While I didn't buy my exotek pinions here at A-main...I got mine direct but the review is still valid. Do not buy these. If you tighten the setscrew AT ALL so that it won't allow the pinion to fly off you will cause the pinion to "wobble" on the motor shaft badly. The aluminum collar is only there for support, the pinion itself is all plastic, and deforms quite easily...which is why it wobbles. If you are looking for a plastic pinion I recommend the 175RC Polypro pinions, which A-main also sells. They are a METAL center section with a plastic gear on it. They are also half the price!

Exotek Flite 48P POM Pinion Gear w/Alloy Collar (3.17mm Bore) (27T)
These gears are great very durable no issue running 13.5 4wd buggy and 17.5 2wd buggy. Gears are quit and smooth and give improved acceleration. I recommend these gears. follow directions on package and you should not have any issues.

DO NOT BUY! Absolutely terrible pinions. I had one 29T and it broke a whole section off the pinion within seconds of me taking it on the track. The other 27T i gave to a friend and this was a different car with a different driver. He broke the pinion in almost the same fashion as i broke mine with seconds of being on the track. If you want to snap/break a pinion immediately on a high traction (carpet/astrotruft) track, then these are the pinions for you. Otherwise, buy the polypro pinions. These are garbage.
