Exotek D413 Aluminum Steering Rack (Orange)

I like this part but I have an issue I greatly dislike.
The part looks good and functions well. But! there are two real tiny miniscule shim washers that have to be mounted under the rack on each steering post as a spacer. Sure would be nice if the rack was machined to not need those as they are real easy to loose especially if one has to do some real fast wrenching between races.

A must have to get rid of the slop. The stock plastic part actually broke in half during my first run. Its good I had this one already for a quick change.

Fit perfectly and makes steering smooth with no slop. Exotek did a great job on this one.

Looks good. Great fit and finish.
Removes the slop of the stock steering rack bushings and super smooth.
But....
For it to be super smooth you need to put another 3x5x0.3mm shim on the top side of the mount screws as well. And you have to take great care to not overtighten the screws or the bearings in the rack will bind up.
I would save your money and buy the Exotek Flanged bushings part# EXO1535 and put them on the stock steering rack instead.

This part is a must buy to help take out the slop in the steering. The part is well built, looks great, and makes the car function like it should. Exotech make quality parts. You won't regret buying this steering rack

works great very tight no slop. Take your time screwing it to the two plastic arms it binds if screwed to tight.

Exotek always delivers, this is almost a necessary upgrade if you are going to run a D413. The part is milled perfectly, and really adds a nice touch, and strength to your steering!

really good, reduces slops but make sure follow the instruction carefully.

Should be the first upgrade to the d413. Dont even run with the stock steering rack!
