The Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount is an option for modern buggies and sedans using a 540 sized motor. The included mounting bracket has multi-mount features that allows the fan to be angled or parallel with the motor can. Lightweight, secure and just what you need to easily mount a fan in tight spaces!

The angled design allows easy mounting of fans in 2wd buggies and trucks with 'lay down' style gearboxes. For sedans, the secure bracket holds the fan at a distance from the armature to avoid the magnetic fields of the motor disrupting the fans motor (too close and the fan does not operate at full rpm's). The mount can also mount the fan at the end bell in cramped 4wd buggies by using camber shims for spacing (not included).

Features:

  • Extra modular design means with a few adjustments you can mount a fan securely in just about any 1/10 car or truck
  • Designed for use with high power 30mm fans
  • Choice of polished and anodized black, blue or orange for a custom look
  • Fits standard 540 sized 35.8-36mm diameter brushless motors

Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount (Black)
so far these have worked out well, but when i can, i'll tap & die the aluminum cased fans and mount on chassis or make my own alum and or CF mounts, but these mounts are almost invisible. it's all in the build, what works? what doesn't? exactally!

Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount (Black)
WOW this is a awesome Mount.
I used this with the Tornado plus fan (I will leave a review of that as well)
I thought I might need two of these but the Exotech mount is very solid/rigid.
It is slim and surprisingly easy to install being metal(aluminum?)
The offset arm allowed me to articulate the fan to not only fit but to lower the fan closer to the motor for better cooling performance. Very nice solution. Highly recommended

Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount (Black)
Nice quality product that does exactly what it’s designed to do and because of how it’s made it gives you many different options as far as positioning the fan and the small bracket that the fan screws onto, which then is attached to the strap that gets installed on the motor. There are several machined screw holes on the bracket and combining that with being able to instal the strap either way around the motor I was able to fit a 30mm Protek aluminum fan next much closer to the motor on my Tekno ET410.2 than either of the carbon top chassis plate options, and the stock fan mount is just as bad as the B6.2 I have as it’s pressed hard and flat to the inside of the body, so for it to function I would need to cut a bunch of holes in the body which I hate. I now have 3 of these fan mounts, with one of them in my SCTE 3.0 and the other in my 22T 4.0.

Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount (Black)
This product doesn't suitable with B6.1, B6.1D, unless you converted the kit to use a direct drive system.

Exotek Angled Clamp On Fan Mount (Black)
While I wasn’t able to fit this under pressure when I lost my mount during a race, once I had time to adjust it properly, it fits great. I installed it on my B7 with an R1 3 gear because the mounts R1 wurks provide are pretty janky. By adding a 3mm spacer to angled surface and the fan, I was able to get the fan to fit nearly in the stock location. The fan is now up and out of the way and the cabling is not wedged between two vibrating motors.
