Element RC Enduro Shock Parts

These are listed as a direct replacement for the original SC10 2wd factory team V2 shock lower cartridge caps. My original shock bottom cartridge caps had gotten brittle and split. This kit is ALMOST a direct replacement. There is a shoulder on the inside of the original bottom caps that takes up some of the space in the o-ring cavity of the shock body. The end caps in this kit do not have that shoulder. If installed directly, you likely would not get the correct "pack" on the shock o-rings which would lead to leaking and early failure. I found that to imitate the shoulder that the original caps had I needed to insert a small plastic washer below the o-rings. I believe the spacer I used was one of the original SC10 shock spacers used internally on the shaft to limit overall shock travel/extension. I took that spacer and very lightly sanded it down a few thousandths of an inch to get the "pack" on my shock o-rings just right. With all of that being said and done, they have been suitable replacements for the lower cartridge caps on my original SC10 2wd with the Factory Team V2 shocks.
