About the Decathlon RJG 1.2M
Aerobatic Trainer
The Decathlon is widely known to be one of the best aerobatic trainers in full-scale aviation! Its iconic design traces its roots back to the Aeronca Champ and Citabria but was upgraded with inverted fuel and oil systems plus a nearly symmetrical wing to allow it to perform "outside" and inverted maneuvers with ease. It features LED landing and navigation lights plus a variety of scale details to deliver an authentic flying experience perfect for low-time and intermediate pilots interested in honing their aerobatic skills, and experienced pilots focused on performing the most aggressive aerobatics.
Scale Features
The E-flite Decathlon RJG 1.2m is not just a model airplane; it's a meticulously crafted replica of the iconic full-scale aerobatic trainer that RJ Gritter (RJG) showcases in airshows nationwide. Designed with attention to detail, this model embodies the essence of the legendary Decathlon, featuring functional LED landing and navigation lights, wing struts, and wheel pants, all adding to its scale realism. The classic yet modernized red, white, and blue trim scheme pays homage to the original Decathlon flown by RJG, infusing a sense of authenticity into every flight.

Kinda underpowered on 3S and absolutely amazing power on 4s.
Details are beautiful.
I did manage to lawndart this plane from about 50ft up at almost full throttle and it survived,no foam damage just bent the landing gear and popped the wheel pant off. A few drops of glue and a fresh set of screws and it was good as new. 10/10 amazing plane.
