This is the Electrix RC Torment 1/10 Short Course Truck. The Torment SCT combines scale looks with features typically found in higher priced vehicles. The Torment takes the ECX vehicle lineup to the next level with an included Spektrum DX2E radio system with SR200 receiver, providing users with extended range and interference free operation. It also comes standard with ball bearings, oil filled shocks, custom battery strap, as well as a battery and charger, providing users with yet another complete RTR package right out of the box!
The ECX RC Torment is affordable, and looks awesome, but it's also super strong with a nylon composite material used throughout the chassis components. This gives it incredible strength and durability, and is flexible enough to withstand the punishment it was designed for. The truck is fully ready to run, with all required batteries, including AA's included. All that needs to be done is charge the battery with the included charger!

The Good:
- Low price
- Great Spektrum radio components. They feel good and work flawlessly and are amazing in a kit of this price.
- Spare parts are readily available, and some parts from Traxxas Slash also fit.
- With a LiPo 7.4v battery, it has a nice speed and plenty of torque for track sessions.
- After a few minor upgrades it does everything very well.
- This thing has sustained some HARD crashes, but hasn't broken anything more than a couple bucks to fix.
The Bad:
- The stock suspension oil is super light and bottoms out easily on minor jumps. Replace immediately with 40wt and it stiffens the truck right up and calms down the chassis roll.
- The drive shaft U-joints are too thin and are made of flexy plastic. Under hard landings with lots of throttle they may break and aren't that easy to replace.
- The front hub bearing carriers are made of the same flexy plastic and can break after a hard hit to the wheel. This is a cheap $2 fix and only takes a few minutes, so no biggie.
- High center of gravity contributes to chassis roll. On the good side, this design makes for great ground clearance and bashing over and around stuff.
- Included charger is a joke. It takes 8 hours to charge a battery that lasts maybe 10 minutes. A quick charger will run another $40, or $90 for a charger that can charge Lipo, NiMh, NiCad, and lead acid batteries.
