The EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" 13.5 Turn Sensored Brushless Motor offers competition ready performance, at a sport motor price! The "Sling Shot SLV" takes everything that makes the standard Sling Shot great, but improves on the original with a heavily vented, lightweight can to help reduce overall weight and improve heat dissipation. Also, the "SLV" has larger solder tabs to reduce resistance and help make it easier when soldering the wires on. This creates a motor that delivers improved overall performance, with the power you need to out run the competition.

Other features include a high torque 12.5mm sintered Neodymium rotor to deliver the torque needed for competitive 13.5 class racing. When combined with its hand wound, high purity copper stator you get a low resistance 13.5 motor that will stand toe to toe with anything else on the market. Fully adjustable timing lets you fine tune the power delivery to suit your driving style and track conditions, while dual sensor ports allow easy installation in a variety of chassis configurations. These parts have been combined to deliver high end power, efficiency and reliability. Keep your competition in the crosshairs - take aim and fire with the Sling Shot.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Wrote a review earlier when I bought one of these motors and at first I thought these were great but I do have to say that these loose power very quickly and lack the torque like some of my other motors. These could use a little work if they want to compete with some of the other brands out there.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Just received this motor from Amain! Shipped next day and delivered 3 days later. Immediately put motor on my analyzer. This motor performs better than advertised at 3500 kv per volt. The sensor board was decent and had about the usual slight deviance. I measured about 3 degrees of deviation with all 3 phases. Timing marks are actually spot on on the can. At 30 degrees on the can the analyzer showed the sensors at 30, 30 and 27 degrees. So pretty much on par with all the other spec motors I have gotten which were more expensive. My Fantom icon V2 was the only motor I have tested that had almost perfect sensor alignment at only 1 degree of deviation so this purchase was money well spent. I bought the motor to race my slash in the spec class. Most guys running Fantom or are tech motors. I am not at any disadvantage and the motor runs on par with all the rest. I’m curious on temps with the slash being heavier than most other short course. I geared it conservative to start and am not running a fan. Will comment at a later date if any cooling issues come up but at 26 teeth pinion it has plenty of acceleration and with time I’ll dial in the power band of this motor and get the gearing just right. I would say that the powerband characteristic is leaning toward the RPM side. It isn’t a stump puller by any means but it pulls linear and revs to about the same RPM as my Fantom but with a smoother low and midrange just not quite as punchy which is fine as it keeps wheel spin down. A good match for a medium to high bite track.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Brand new, this motor was very impressive in my EB410. After about 15 packs, it feels like a 17.5. As of now, just to use the car, I had to drop 2 on the pinion, and the temps are at 115 with a motor fan, and the power has fallen off enough that I am being passed by 17.5 2wd buggies. Spend the extra $40, and get a known brand, quality motor.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
For the price, this motor is great. Smooth, torquey, and fast. Seems to stay cool in a stadium truck with a fan running on turf. Currently set at 30 degrees timing and 21/81 gearing in a T6.1 and have no complaints.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
I am very happy with this motor, I have been running it in a stadium truck at my local hobby shop carpet racing and this has plenty of power and stays cool with a fan. I can keep up with all the guys running much more expensive 13.5's.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Purchased a while back and never used it, was going to sell it to a guy but he backed out after hooking it up to a Dyno and had poor output for 13.5, he was surprised and told me I should contact amain for a refund, I did not. Looks beautiful though. Amain is great but they should try and improve their product. BTW this was a while back, so hopefully they improved it by now, or maybe I just got a bad one.

EcoPower "Sling Shot SLV" Sensored Brushless Motor (13.5T)
Installed this motor into a rtr dr10 for 13.5t spec racing. To our surprise the motor was a complete pig. This rtr dr10 would run a 2.89 at 47mph with the 3300kv stock setup. It's slowed down to a 3.70 at 33mph with the same gearing with another esc on blinky mode. No matter what we did we could not get this motor to perform decently. Threw on a old novak 17.5 and the speeds where way faster in comparison. Like the saying goes you get what you pay for but in this case this motor should cost $5.00
