This is the EcoPower "Mosquito" Ready-To-Fly Nano Quad-Copter. Small micro size quad-copters are fun. But smaller nano size drones can be just as fun, and are better suited to small indoor environments. They are perfect for new pilots to learn with, and a great option for experienced pilots to keep their skills sharp when they cant make it out to the flying field.

The problem with nano size aircraft, is they all include a nano size controller. These are o.k. for a new pilot, but the small size can make them awkward for adults, and they are more like a video game controller than an RC transmitter. This is why we include a full size 2.4GHz transmitter with the Mosquito! It allows experienced pilots to feel at home on the sticks, and at the same time reduces the transitionary phase when a new pilot moves up to a larger aircraft.

With multiple flight modes and aerobatic maneuvers available at the push of a button, this nano quad is a blast to fly. The speed buttons on the transmitter allow the user to choose between four different flight modes to increase performance as skills improve. Once the basics are mastered, you can use the flip button on the transmitter to perform flips and rolls like a pro! 4 minute flight times are possible with the included LiPo battery, and the battery is easily charged in approximately 30 minutes using any USB port and the included USB cable charger. Additionally, a complete set of spare blades are included, so you wont be sidelined when the flight doesn't end the way you planned.

These features combined with easy to fly characteristics make the EcoPower Mosquito Nano a perfect choice for those that want big fun in a nano size package that fits in the palm of your hand. Just add six AA batteries to the transmitter and you are ready to fly.

Pick up a couple extra batteries (ECP-4006) to extend your flying fun!

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
Very difficult to control as trim never seems to center the mosquito to hover. The copter drifts very easily and is difficult to pull out of without over-correcting. You'll need a large unobstructed room to use this thing as it is very sensitive even on low rates (except as another reviewer stated the rudder is extremely slow). I would not recommend flying this outside in any sort of breeze, it takes it away from you instantly and is easily lost due to its size. The canopy falls off every time it crashes regardless of how hard the crash is and it's frustrating to get it back on. All in all I would say save your money for something with a little more girth that is much more stable to fly. I have flown it 10 times and it is now on the shelf with no desire to fly it again.

First I must say I have little experience flying anything.
The quality must be hit or miss based on the reviews. Mine is unstable and impossible to trim out for a stable hover.
The rudder is the only function that's controllable, all other functions are unaffected by the rate settings. I'm still trying to master this guy but my gut tells me I'm fighting a losing battle .

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
Got it for free weeks ago, and haven't used it until this week. Never flown a drone of any sort, and I must say all the technology packed into that small of a toy is impressive!!! Anyone who nay says this thing is WRONG. You need a steady hand and enough indoor space or zero wind. I did break it after bashing the thing trying to learn it, but I ended up soldering it back together and it's still going strong driving my dogs crazy!! I may get the Hummingbird if it's bigger

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
Easy enough to fly but you'll need decent reflexes, probably not ideal for young children, or outdoors, and the packet does say not suitable for under 14's, so I don't know why people are buying them for 10yo's.
Anyway mine has been durable and fun, and a ( near ) full size transmitter is great. 5 stars!

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
I have only flew this a few times, but I am very impressed so far. First off, this thing is tiny, it is smaller than a credit card. Second, its size is deceiving. Being so small you don't really expect it to be that fast, but even with the rates set 40% it is very quick for its size. I do not think this would be the best place to start for a beginner.

Its very stable, LEDs are nice touch and help keep track of its orientation in the air. Also the flip mode/button is really cool addition.

So far I have crashed it several times and nothing has broken, and several of the hits were pretty hard.

My expectations were fairly low, but after having flown it for a few packs I would (and probably will) buy another.

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
I gave this to my 10 year son for Christmas. It was broken by the end of the. It is not a very durable quad-copter and there is no way to fix it.

EcoPower "Mosquito" Nano Ready-To-Fly Quadcopter Drone
The mosquito is a very well mannered nano quad. It is very stable and its flip function works well, performing tight flips and rolls. The only drawback I found was the rudder cntrol is extremely slow. It doesnt get faster when increasing the dual rates, seems like a missed parameter when programming the dual rates. Not to big a problem when learning to hover bt a big negative when moving to fast forward flight, as a smooth circuit is nearly impossible. Charge time and flight time are on par with the manuals specs of 4 and 30 minutes.
