DW Hobby Tiger Moth ARF Electric Airplane Combo Kit (800mm)
I am giving it one star because I can't give it zero stars.
You would think that they would test fly these things before they market them.
It is tail heavy to the point that it is unrecoverable 3 feet off the ground.
I looked on youtube and it seems everyone has the same problem with this plane.
Once in the air the tail will not come up, it goes into a stall, noses over and you can guess the rest.
One answer so far is to add some 6 oz. of weight to the nose. This will require reinforcing the firewall and engine mount and then experimenting with the flight characteristics, CG, ect. ect...

Save yourself some heartache, and money; don’t buy this thing until someone can assure you that they have worked the bugs out.

DW Hobby Tiger Moth ARF Electric Airplane Combo Kit (800mm)
This plane took about a day to build and wasnt to difficult. They give you two sizes of screws but you only really use the one size and you barely have enough of them. So not sure if they messed up or not. The cowl doesnt actually screw down like it says and the little windshields are the wrong size and also dont have screw holes. All in all the build and looks aren't bad and im happy with it. The fly is a bit odd. Alot of people say this is tail heavy and yes it is! I took that into account and put my CG at 2.5" instead of 2.8", even with that i have some down trim. It really does not like wind at all! It easily gets pushed around like a kite. When throttling up the plane wants to climb and slowly roll left. Im assuming that's torque twist, theres not a whole lot of motor compensation angle. The servos are less than desirable as well. Now all the negatively aside im not exactly upset with the plane, it flys slow and goes where you point it. Looks pretty nice in the air with its small size and wood build. Now i wouldnt be trying to do any rolls or flips with this plane! This is definitely just a nice slow plane to enjoy on a non windy morning, good warm up plane before putting up a 3d flyer lol
