This original American classic, has now evolved into a shorter 313mm, 2.1 Spec rig. It has all the original scale details, along with the classic Ford F-150 Pickup look, and taken the overall Spec and Performance to a whole new level. The shorter wheelbase adds to the rig's abilities when Crawling and makes this American workhorse even more desirable.
Now with the SCA1E Gen 2 layout as standard, the Ford F-150 with the CMS Mount offers a Forward Weight Bias that combined with the shorter Wheelbase aids Rock Crawling. This places the battery pack and Steering Servo right up front and over the front axle. The issue of Torque Twist (something inherent in all shaft driven rigs) has been addressed with Carisma's new ATT (Anti Torque Twist Transmission) that counteracts and reduces the effects of Torque Twist. This is done by ensuring the front and rear center driveline spin in opposite directions and flipping the rear diff. This creates a counter rotational force in the central driveline that significantly reduces torque twist and enhances the available traction where you need it most...at the wheels. The rig runs flatter even at full throttle, and the geometry is more stable and predictable when Rock Crawling.
Alongside the LiPo friendly ARC-1 Electronic Speed Controller, it features a lowered the gear ratio in the transmission to 5.92:1 giving a smoother low RPM range and greater control. To compliment this it has a new Sealed Can 17T 5 Pole Motor, with the greater magnetic force over a 3-pole motor, thus offering enhanced Torque and Throttle Finesse. But it's not all about Crawling, the 17T motor has the ability to still produce wheel speed when required, for trail running. Being a sealed can, the motor will be more weather resistant and require minimal maintenance between runs, a must for all Scale Adventurists.
Giving the fully Licensed Ford F-150 body a Black finish makes the chrome of the Grille, Wipers, Wing Mirrors and Wheels stand out even more. This complete contrast really suits the rig, and further enhances it's original 1970's look. As with the previous release, the body is also LED Ready and accepts our own or third part LED Kits. The chrome, 1.9 True Beadlock Wheels allow you to add further weight to each rim if you want to fine-tune the Weight Bias, and to complete the Wheel and Tire package, are the soft compound ATAT (All Terrain Adventure Tire's) which offer great all round performance.
The trusty Carisma CTX-8000 2.4GHz radio system is supplied with the RTR rig. Featuring Steering Rate adjustment, Steering and Throttle Trims, Channel Reversing, End Point Adjustment and F.H.S.S (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) Technology for glitch free use, eliminating cross channel interference and offering precise and responsive control at all times.
