Model Kit Overview:
Bandai Super Deformed (SD) Gundam Chibi Senshi #08 Captain Formula 91 Jr. Model Kit. This is a re-release of the classis 1993 kit featuring Captain Formula 91 (F91), a prototype mobile suit developed by the Strategic Naval Research Institute as part of the Formula Project. In Universal Century 0122, the F91 was piloted by Bergh Scred and saw combat against the Oldsmobile Army. Initially equipped with a standard Learning Computer (since the advanced Bio-Computer was not yet finished), the F91 utilized Bergh's piloting data from the F90 Gundam F90 unit 1. Despite the lack of the Bio-Computer, the F91 performed exceptionally well. It demonstrated superior capabilities and easily outperformed the mobile suits of the Oldsmobile Army.
SD Gundam models are characterized by their "chibi" or "super deformed" appearance. The SD Gundam Chibi Senshi Jr. lineup is even smaller than the BB Senshi SD series while maintaining the same intricate details. They feature exaggerated proportions with large heads and small bodies, giving them a cute and cartoony look compared to the more realistic designs of standard Gundam models. Despite their small size and comical appearance, SD Gundams incorporate detailed designs and intricate armor that reflect their more serious counterparts in the series. This model kit features snap-fit assembly, eliminating the need for glue and making it perfect for collectors and fans of the show, and those who are just getting into the modeling hobby. With pre-colored parts, this model reduces the need for painting unless further detail is desired.
