Axial SCX10 II "2017 Jeep Wrangler CRC Edition" RTR 4WD Rock Crawler w/3-Channel Radio

Got this Jeep as my first Crawler. I wanted RTR as I don't have time to build a kit. This thing is loaded with great parts off the bat. Steel links, All metal gears in the transmission. The transmission is a new design as well made for 2017. Has LED head and tail lights that plug directly into the esc. It performs very well when going out. The Stock Nitto tires are nice and grip very well. I Like the fact I can make it my own with all the available aftermarket parts. I contemplated between this and the Honcho. But for a little more you are getting a better rig. Also was thinking TRX4. But then again with all the parts available, you can really make this your own. I also love the detail on the body. Being a fan of the Jeep Rubicon. This was a no brainer. I have already added some parts like the Roof rack made by axial, new rc4wd bumper and wertymade slide captures. This rig is really a show stopper.

Okay this is a tricky one. Let's start by saying the Amain staff is what gives this product a blazing 5 star review. Now that that's out of the way let's get down to buisness. Right out of the box the vehicle had a factory defective steering servo, it would not turn under its own Weight. I contacted the customer service department and after a short phone call a replacement servo was Express shipped to me. Received the servo two days later(was quoted three days) upon replacement the vehicle has performed far beyond expectation have only run two batteries of run time and can I just say this thing, for a RTR, is a crawling beast.the controller is easy to operate. The body maintains integrity under roll over conditions. The lights all worked right out of the box and the body clips to secure the wiring for the lighting was a genius move. After the initial purchase of the product I can't lie I was a bit frustrated and disappointed but the staff in the customer service department (daniel, jasmine) pulled through took away all the frustration and disappointment I had initially felt and have turned me into a repeat customer. Its staff member like this that drive a buisness and build reputations and as a member of management in the retail world may I say these two are above and beyond and the company is lucky to have them on the team

This is the best AXial RTR they got! I got this for my son for his birthday and now is his favorite rig! I highly recommend it.

This truck is amazing right out of the box! Upgraded the tires to proline hyrax 1.9’s.

This crawler is the best one I have ever owned. The advancements made from the scx10 to the scx10ii is amazing. The steel links are definitely a plus. The skinny axles are very nice, but I would definitely look into buying a pumpkin skid plate. There is nothing wrong with the axles now, but they are plastic and do scratch a lot on rocks. The lights are very brights and add a nice aesthetic look. The body is very nice but a little top heavy.The motor and servo are very strong.The 3 channel controller is very nice and you will never loose connection. The only problems that I have are with the lights, rock sliders, and the shocks. The wires for the lights are very skinny and not well attached. The connections are very small and a pain to connect. The rock sliders are strong but the channels for the body do not work well. I had multiple instances when the tire would rub the body and force it out of the channel and it would stay stuck. It make the body look very bad. Easy fix is to either trim the body or get different rock sliders. The shocks are very well made but were leaking. It was any easy fix but something like this should not come from the factory. Over all this is a very nice rock crawler. I highly recommend it for a beginner crawler and a good base for a custom crawler. There are a ton of 3rd party products to make it your own

Been wanting to get this truck for awhile and when i seen the price drop even a little i jumped at the opportunity to own one. Unfortunately after the first run (which was beautiful) i lost steering when i investigated i noticed the servo horn was slightly off the threading so i screwed it back on not sure if its the right size screw from manufacture but screw keeps coming undone and every time i lose my steering, something minor but once again i paid 350.00 i wasnt expecting to do any work anytime soon. I havent driven since the servo horn dropped a third time hasnot been that enjoyable the traxxas that i got from you guys as well now that thing is awesome! that and my old axial Cherokee got me going strong!!

First time rc buyer / owner. Everything was shipped promptly and works very well. Very happy with the products

This is my 1st ready to run In 25 yearsGood quality everything was there no problems except for tiresTires were so wobbly I had to check rims and axles to make sure they were trueIt may be just the one I got but i bought new tires right away

My crawler arrived and was leaking shock fluid missing parts AXIAL REALLY let me down on this truck.. AMAIN on the other hand was really helpful in doing what they can so this Rating is purely on Axial product..


My ready to run crawler came from Axial missing numerous screws leaking fluid, the link wasn’t connected wrong screws were in the wrong place I might as well have Bought a builders kit which is what I would I would love to have at this point.. Silver lining Amain did send me a 10 piece screw set of one size, And a Batch if double tape, however it’s missing multiple screws I asked if I could just return/exchange and it had not been used a this point and that never really went to far other than what can we do to help, iam a Reasonable person so I offered to just go ahead keep it and just go through it myself
and re go through the whole crawler all I asked is to please just send me a complete screw kit for the scx10ii and this s is where I’m at now, I would like to point out this is (NOT AMAIN’s) fault the packaging was sealed but it’s almost as if this vehicle had been used before or was a returned/Refurbished Item and somehow got through the QC (Quality Control) If I could Add photos I would..
the ESC wasn’t even attached to the Crawler also the esc the RTR CRC came with is not what is showed in photos it’s made by a company called dynamite now..Oh and the rear lights that come on the body have a issues as well!!

(Bottom line)
Not acceptable AXIAL, I am very surprised this Truck got through QC I mean for Heavens sake the links weren’t even attached to the rear diff housing screws are missing Shocks are leaking! Lights not working! etc etc etc..Not to sound Entitled...But I/We all Spend a large amount of money on off road racing, hopefully some one will read this and do something and fix the production problem and my personal issues thank you guys.. Oh important note: I now have had this almost 90 Days and have not used it 1 single time, I added matching bumpers that match our personal jeep but I have yet to rebuild shocks or tighten everything I wish axial would just take it back! Or give amain a One time courtesy Iam super not happy with this crawler....
I have axial bomber and axial wraith and both of those were perfect!!

Axial SCX10 II '17 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Is awesome out of box but do not waste time driving with stock servo lasted me one battery pack!

don't buy it! its a gateway to an awful rc addiction. Im warning you... all you will do is think about hop ups and drain your bank account. Cheers!

Hey it's an axial kit! That means it is gonna work when it is out on the rocks. Kit is easy to work on and looks great.

Great little rig and have lots of fun seeing what I can crawl over.
Looking forward to some simple upgrades to make it my own so to speak.

First off, let me say, I love my SCX10 II! That little Jeep goes anywhere and everywhere. Snow, mud, rivers, lakes. Up the side or a mountain with me and my wife! Great times! Even the stock tires and linkages are great for snow and ice, which is good up here in Alberta, Can. I would recommend this rig to anyone looking for starter truck or to most experienced trail rider wanting a a project to upgrade and tinker with. All-in-all I’d give the SCX10 II a 10/10!
