Axial "NVS" Night Vision System
No wiring instructions for use with external BEC. System must be initiated every time you turn it on (Turn R, Turn L, Go Forward, Go Reverse) then you may have to access control board to set switches for directional lights, this includes using incorporated on/ off switch. Compatibility issue with some radios!!! Does not work with Spektrum DX3C w/ SR301 and others. I found this out after many, many hours of trying to get this system to initiate, finally trying different TX/ RX systems until finally it initiated. I have found this referenced on many forums. One user mentions that it was acknowledged by Axial and person received alternate goods in exchange after contacting Axial. I sent email to Axial (Hobbico) several days ago no reply from them. If you try to use this with Spektrum system you will have to trim RX connectors and if using battery connectors other than Tamiya, then you will need to modify power supply, so.... that's right you won't be returning it after that. My options shelve $100 NVS system or change radio.

Had no problems. Mine came with instructions and works with my DX3C and receiver perfectly.

Axial "NVS" Night Vision System
I mounted this in my Axial Yeti XL with a 4210 Spektrum receiver. As soon as I powered it up, the black lead on the throttle going to my ESC smoked and the light unit didn't function. The power connection was tied to a 2s battery and I verified that the polarity was correct and that the battery voltage was 8.2 volts. I checked my ESC voltage and it is 6 volts, correct polarity.
I came very close to damaging a very expensive ESC and had to replace the ground wire. I would not risk destroying your ESC with this NVS light system. I plan on hard wiring the LEDs through an independant external ESC and run the lights either off or on by switch.
