The Avid RC TLR 22X-4 Carbon Front Top Deck adds strength and precision to the 22X-4 platform. Using high quality carbon fiber this top deck makes the 22X-4 more rigid giving precise steering feel while helping to eliminate twitchiness. As a byproduct of this added stiffness the chassis flex is cut down, improving the jumping and landing consistency. Package includes one optional top deck.

Seems to add a little stability for jumps and landings. Definitely reinforces the front end to let it do it’s job, but it’s not a must-have.
