"This is a great option to start out with a very capable buggy at a very reasonable price. The 7075 components really do improve the overall durability of this platform while also providing enhanced tuning options. Tires are OK - softer/better tread pattern, but still not as good as most other tire options (still a bit on the stiff side). Parts availability is fantastic thanks to the reuse/compatibility with the rest of the Arrma line-up." - Alex - Verified Owner

Tuned Chassis & Body
The included aluminum TLR Tuned chassis features cutouts to decrease weight while allowing for good chassis flex. The factory-finished body showcases a bold racing color scheme, setting the TLR Tuned Typhon apart from other Typhon models and gives it a distinctive and competitive appearance.
Tuned Steering
The steering system of the TLR Tuned Typhon is a critical component for precise control and maneuverability, both on the racetrack and during intense off-road sessions. The vehicle features a responsive and precise steering mechanism, allowing for confident control at high speeds, whether on the track or in off-road bashing scenarios.
Tuned Suspension
The oil-filled, adjustable shocks with machined tapered pistons and EXB (Extreme Bash) stand-offs contribute to enhanced shock absorption and stability, ensuring a smoother ride and better handling across various terrains. Overall fit/finish is good. I was a little disappointed in the surface finish of some of the black 6061 pieces (chassis front brace, front spindle plates). I'm not sure if this is because the parts were e-coated and then painted with an intended texture or if the surface quality of the underlying part was not great. The car came with a decent coating of rust preventatives/oils, and at first the pieces looked OK, but as soon as the surfaces are wiped clean the non-7075 aluminum pieces have a rough surface texture. This is not a showstopper from a performance perspective, but does detract from the overall appearance.
Like all rollers/sliders, check all the screws and shimming. The left side chassis guard was loose on mine and one of the motor mount screws was loose inside the chassis (actually rolling around in the box). Again, none a big deal breakers but something to check.
This design is the same in many ways to the Durango DEX8 (minus the adjustable battery and motor positioning features). The tuning guidance in the manual is good, but I highly recommend searching for the Tuning tips/cards for the DEX8 as it does an even better job of explaining settings and general recommendations. If you struggle to keep the rear end planted, JQ Racing has a Youtube channel that talks about potential tuning that you can do to the car that will help make a pillow ball car handle more predictably.
A couple of improvements would be to include additional washers for the front camber, vinyl chassis film, a smaller wrench for the 3 mm locknuts, a 25T servo horn, and a pinion. The biggest of those would be the the 25T servo horn. Many people do not use Spektrum servos, so the lack of one here feels a bit like a cost cutting measure.
