This is my second Arrma. I have a V2 Infraction and wanted something that I could take anywhere. Wow!!! This thing is awesome!!! I'm so glad I didn't get a Mojave. The Typhon is fast, nimble and is a flier. If you can swing the $500. go for it. My wife literally called it a "giggle machine".
Edit: This is a year and a half later. A month ago my ESC died. Horizon hobby sent out a new one right away. My experience with HH support has been outstanding. 2 year warranty. Can not be beat!
Great buggy the arrma typhon! Very fast out of the box! Drives an handles good ,only thing I did was put on a motor fan.Definitely recommend!
This is the best Rc car for dollar.
It can do anything jump, race, on road, off road it a beast on 4s and 6s.
Its not too big to throw in your car and the weight of it keeps it super stable at speed.
I love it and will get another one. It's my favorite rc other then my 4tec and Fazer mk2.
You Don't need any upgrades it's great of the box. I did get the front bumper, rear skid and the front cv's for added protection and smoother steering.
Its the best!
Awesome buggy very fast super easy to fly off big ramps only issue I had was motor mount bolts were loose on the bottom stock tires have very little traction in clay dirt proline badlands were amazing on this probably one of my new favorites
This thing is bad ass and scary fast. Love it. I'm planning on ordering more cars soon.
It’s an excellent little machine. There aren’t a lot of hop-up parts or upgrades yet but it’s really nice, fast durable and exiting to drive.

After a bunch of research, I purchased this awesome car. It’s my first Arrma purchase and I’m 100% satisfied and gratified. The Typhon has seen pavement, dirt, synthetic turf and snow. I have only been running Spektrum 4S 50C batteries and this car is a beast. I can only imagine what it can do with a 6S. My Typhon has had plenty of spills and has yet to receive anything worse than a few scratches. I can’t wait to beef it up and do some serious bashing.
Purchased the Typhon 6s after buying the Kraton 6s. Man the Typhon is a blast to drive. Hugs the road well on any surfaces so far. 10 packs through the car so far and no issues. Diffs were shimmed correctly out of the box, however the fluid in the front and rear was a bit low. Very happy with the purchased, super fast shipping from AMain to boot!
This typhon is a beast on 6s and this is with out the speed gear also super heavy duty parts and also the handling its awesome, highly recommend this buggy if you like speed and bashing...
its perfect for my build... all my plan to make a speed run car this is the one... my typhon is strech all ready allthe upgrade and some of my other parts fit properly... nothing to say but its so perfect...

Love the Updates! The new electronics from spectrum are a big improvement over the old units, and they were great. And they fixed the low-end cogging that some of the older blx models had. The model hits the claimed speeds with ease (unlike some models where you can push and get 'close'). Plus, even on the 20T pinion, still runs cool after multiple speed passes. A solid buggy with quality that far exceeds it's price!
-one note, the body is still drilled for the pass-through antenna even though the antenna has been moved to the inside not requiring the hole.
AMain always delivers on time....And ARRMA has so much cool stuff to spend money on...This Typhon 6s is a beast!
I didn't purchase this through Amain but have owned the buggy for close to 2 years. This thing is a beast on 6s. I primarily run it in the yard and it tears up the grass. I put Proline Dumont paddle tires on it last winter and it throws a nasty rooster tail of snow. I've also used the Limitless Hoon tires on it for speed runs. It's a versatile buggy and it's durable. The only thing that broke (really it's cracked but still hanging on) is the rear wing from flipping over. Another plus is the buggy is easy to work on and service the differentials. I put thicker fluids in all three diff cases to power through grass and speed runs. My only suggestion is if you're running it in a yard hard, monitor the temperature and if your motor temperature gets over 150 degrees, it wouldn't be a bad idea of buying a fan for the motor.
F*ing AWESOME! My favorite RC so far. Very very fast. Takes some beating. TONS of fun. ALSO kinda small considering it's 6s. I like pocket rockets!
This RC car is awesome, it’s super durable. iv hit a lot of things learning how to drive it an didn’t damage anything. Car is super fast it will blow the tires right off if your not careful. I’d recommend this one to anyone defiantly worth the money an it super fun.

If your on the fence about getting this RTR 4WD Buggy - use this review and GET IT! I researched the BLX V5 version of this buggy and after owning one now for weeks and running it tons of times its been GREAT! Its all that and a bag of chips as they say! Arrma did a great job with this buggy!
