The Arrma Senton 2S 4x4 V3 550 Mega 1/10 RTR Short Course Truck is fast, rugged and factory-built. The 2S LiPo-compatible ARRMA SENTON 4X4 MEGA RTR comes ready to bash on any terrain. This version of the Short Course truck features new equipment that improves on the original’s already impressive performance and durability.

The SENTON 4X4 MEGA RTR Short Course truck is DESIGNED FAST, DESIGNED TOUGH — built for exciting bashing speeds and extreme, all-terrain durability. Features to enhance its unstoppable performance include a stronger chassis and retained hinge pin plates; steering with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and sliding gear mesh; and rubber shielded bearings throughout.

The Short Course truck now also includes the Spektrum SLT3 transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically designed for long periods of fatigue-free driving and has a foam wheel for precise fingertip control plus an improved hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will be able to set throttle limits at 50% or 75% until they are ready to use the full speed potential. The SLT3 is compatible with Tactic SLT receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a third channel to control optional features such as lights and winches on models that have them.

It retains the ingenious modular design perfected by ARRMA engineers for easy component access and maintenance. The power module, with improved dirt management, consists of a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be detached from the chassis as a complete unit by removing just one screw. With the power module removed, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for adjustments by taking out three screws that attach the gear cover. The gear ratio can be finely tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor mesh design.

A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis serves as its electronics module, containing a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver mounts inside the receiver box for protection from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, allowing quick access to the on/off switch, while the servo mounts to the side. All three components can be removed together, quickly and easily.

The differential module houses each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Only eight screws need to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be detached, allowing you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential access. The SENTON 4X4 MEGA RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The large gears can withstand huge torque, and internal metal gears have been chosen for reliability during extreme bashing.

Its full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, rear, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost during heavy impacts, unlike dogbones. A simple, dependable, responsive steering assembly complements the ultra-reliable drive system and features a servo horn with built-in servo saver. The SENTON 4X4 MEGA RTR includes the waterproof Spektrum SPMS650 digital servo for 20% more torque than the previous version’s ADS-5 servo.

The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, use a tried and tested, coil-over design for simple maintenance and amazing handling. Their innovative rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for extra toughness. High chassis guards limit the amount of dirt and debris that can get into the chassis tub. Side impact nerf bars further protect the chassis and body shell. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers secured to the chassis, offering defense against heavy impacts.

Tough, multi-spoke black SC wheels with vented dBoots Fortress SC tires give the SENTON 4X4 MEGA RTR effective traction for bashing on almost any terrain. Multiple battery types can be used with the hook-and-loop mounting, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a 2S block pack. This version comes with a Dynamite 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack 2 Hump NiMH battery that provides 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
I have always been a fan of the RC world. From a young age, RC and slot cars remained a favorite hobby. Over the years i have purchased a few low end fun RC's. A few months ago, I decided to take the plunge and get a little pricier rig. The Arrma Senton 4x4 caught my eye. And I am forever grateful. Running this little beast has been a blast. I look forward to my weekend trips to our local bmx track. It is seldom used and only blocks from my house. The Arrma Senton 1/10 is sturdy. I have crashed it, flipped it, slammed it and rolled it. So far nothing is broken. Thank you Arrma for making this 54 year old feel like a kid again and for doing so with a mid cost durable rig.

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
For my first ever rc car it is amazing the power is definitely there in my opinion it's not hard to drive and fairly easy to get the hang of. And the different power modes are very useful.

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
1st I have to say this is my 1st RC, I made a lot of research prior I purchase, and it paid off, this car is great, super fun to play with, I use it mainly in grass and it works graet that, the color of the body are amazing (the pics you see in the website dont make it justice), all the compounets look and feel strong and high quality. the battery that comes with the car will last for arounf 20 min and if you use the stock charger it wil take around 5-6 hrs to fully charge de battery (buy a better charger). I feel supper happy with this car, I think is great for a begginer like me and it is easy to upgrade once you are ready for the next step

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
I bought two of these for my 8 and 10 year old boys for Christmas this year. The brushed motor and NIMH batteries are junk, not that I didn't anticipate that being the case but holy crap.

First run and the boys got about 15 minutes run time, that is expected with the NIMH batteries. Second run I switched them over to LIPO, maybe a 30 minute run with this configuration.

Third run... well maybe 10 minutes before the brushed motors decided to take a crap. I would imagine it has something to do with the brushes making contact with the comm. Either way they are just sitting on the floor and not usable until I put brushless motors in them.

Point being here is that two years ago I bought my boys some BS little 1/16 RC's and they lasted forever and were fast AF. Almost $600 for these POS Aarma SCT's and my boys got less than an hour of run time.

Don't buy these brushed versions, just sped the extra up front for the brushless.

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
Great starter truck! It’s great on power buuuuut.. not 30mph. The don’t advertise it well enough that you need the 27tooth pinion. Which is not included. Besides that, for the price, you can’t beat the value. I’ve ordered a brushless system and 3s battery. Hoping the spur gear holds up since they say it’s “brushless ready”.

Arrma Senton 4x4 V3 550 Mega RTR 1/10 Short Course Truck (Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio
The guys at Hobbytown were great with their customer service, but this vehicle is poorly engineered. I bought two of these for my sons for Christmas and spent almost $500 after getting new batteries and speed charger. Now, after only about 5 runs with each truck on a nearby RC track, both trucks have gone through 5 spur gears. Two in one truck and three in the other. The last run on the latest spur gear replacement lasted 10 minutes for each truck. I checked all the other trucks parts and they are perfectly fine. I see the problem as the open gear box that allows dirt and rocks to get into the pinion and spur gear allowing them to grind the plastic spur gear teeth flat. This is really poor engineering or a deliberate attempt to make these parts fail. After two emails to ARRMA, with no response, I recommend purchasing a different brand of vehicle. These have been truly disappointing for my kids. Really wanted them to get into RC cars like I did as a kid, but don't know if this will happen.
