These are identical to the non-flanged 3mm locknuts. They are alloy and easily 1/2 the weight of the steel counterparts. These are often found near shock towers and such and since they are alloy - take care as a crash can damage the nut where it likely wasn't with steels. These are the dark blue in color - darker than the AE blue on the B6/B7 cars but still looks sharp. I replaced all my screws with the dark blue titanium, nuts to these in flanged and non flanged - I lost an easy ounce doing it and it looks GREAT!
