Spektrum RC SRS4210 DSMR AVC 2.4Ghz Surface Receiver
Great receiver used with a DX4C. I have been using this as a training tool for my 7 year old son. It allows me to "back him off" without just turning down the radio settings to the ESC. As his skill have increased I have dialed back the AVC functions from around 75% to almost zero. Less broken parts and my son is no longer frustrated trying to keep the car going straight down the track and crashing in the corners. This will do nothing but slow an experienced driver but for a new driver with a 2wd SC truck on a slick outdoor track this is a great item.

Spektrum RC SRS4210 DSMR AVC 2.4Ghz Surface Receiver
Great for bashing, awful for racing.

The AVC technology is basically a gyro that makes driving easier, by making steering corrections for you. This is great for basing or messing about.

You cannot use AVC while racing and you cannot fully disable the AVC technology. It says you can, but it always seems to be active at least a little bit (even when you use the disable jumper).
