Boot Overview:

These are molded high temp vinyl caps that fit snuggly over the center front and rear CVDs on the Team Losi 8ight and 8ight-T. They keep the CVD pin from coming out and having the CVD fall apart if the setscrew backs out. The boots have a larger hole in the cap used on the front because of the steep angle the front CVD runs at, and a smaller hole for the rear where the CVD is straight. Keeping the hole size snug, especially on the rear one, also has the added benefit of keeping most of the dirt and mud out of the join. The high temp vinyl used in the caps is more expensive, but it means the cap won't soften or distort from heat caused by the CVD spinning.

These little rubber caps do the job very well. The price is worth the insurance that you won’t lose your cvd set screw.

Easy to put on and fit great, nice to know your cvd's cant come apart and spoil the fun. Every Losi 8ight owners should have these.

It is one of the best upgrades you can purchase for your 8 or 8T. I run these and have not had a problem yet. They are much better than using the Jammin shock boots or other 'tricks' that every one is trying. Buy these, they are a must have!

I put these on my 8T and pretty much forgot about them being there. I was going completely through my truggy and noticed a grinding noise by my front diff. I pulled the condom back and the CVD pieces fell out! The pin was so wore that it must have been loose for at least 4 local races and one big race event! These are a must have EVEN if you blue loctite the threads like I do. Blue loctite does not work on everything. Buy these....you will be glad you did!
