With discharge function and dual outputs it can charge two batteries (of the same or different voltages) simultaneously. Charges NiCd, NiMh and Lead acid batteries, and 1-9 cells of any capacity.
This powerful charger also has the ability to deliver 5.0 amps per channel when using DC input or the supplied 10 amp power supply. Now you can charge two batteries of different voltages or types simultaneously, or charge one battery while discharging another. For pro users, the 977 Pro has a variety of settings for optimal charge.
Super Brain's patented MicroPeak Detection technology continuously monitors the status of the battery without having to pause periodically to detect delta peak. This ensures a linear, uninterrupted, fast charge, and avoids overcharging. Your battery will run longer and last longer. Charger and battery remain considerably cooler, allowing you to use the charger immediately after completing a charge. Super Brain 977 Pro includes the following features:

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
This was my first charger. After learning the hard way this charger will only charge up to 80% capacity. Don't believe me and you own one? Charge your battery and let somone with an hyperion charger or BC6 e-station charger take your freshly charged battery and see at what % it starts charging. Sad but true. There were 3 of us at our field that had the same problem with this charger before we all upgraded. Don't go cheap in this area you definitly get what you pay for!

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
I second that, love this charger have had this bad boy for 2 yrs now with no problems yet
as a matter of fact Ive intentionally tried to over charge some of my ni-cad batteries
and thought something was wrong with the charger cause it kept shutting off as soon as it started to charge, then realized this charger has a smart brain and refuses to over-charge any battery fully charged or overdischarge a battery

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
I don't see why you guys don't use this for lipos. I have used it for over a year with no problems. Mine only charges to 8.18 volts but its a true voltage. I checked it with my balancer and they are exactly the same. If it was dangerous or could not charge lipos safely then first it would not be written on the box and the manual and second it would not have passed quality control.

You might want to check with battery pack builders about this one before you jump off and buy it. It has a reputation.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
I have owned this charger for a year. After about 3 months the fan on the power supply part went out. It does not seem to get too hot so it is not a huge deal. After about 9 months or so, it was starting to have issues reading the correct number of cells. Now after a little over a year it will not charge any of my batteries to max capacity. I have to charge them over and over to get a full charge. I owned the duratax peak charger and never had this problem.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
Hey David Rusten, you're not too bright, are you? This charger is NOT MEANT FOR LIPOs!!! Seriously, you're lucky you didn't hurt yourself or somebody else, smartguy. If you did, though, at least you'd get yourself a nice shiny Darwin Award.
This charger is great for what it is meant for. The buttons are kind of funky, but you get used to them. Being able to charge two things at once has saved my butt on race days. My friend has the next model up (more expensive) and he regrets not getting this one.
JUST DON'T TRY TO CHARGE LIPOs WITH IT!!!!

Charger seems to work ok, the instruction book is point less, and the buttons feel cheap and don't work all that well.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
This charger is absolutely no good for LiPo - probably dangerous.
I bought one of these to charge my LiPo packs. Big Mistake.
Firstly it claims to be a 5amp charger, but that is only for 6 or more cells. For my 2 cell LiPos it charges at 2.5A. This one fact is enough to make it useless for me.
Secondly, as far as I can tell, it does not use the CC CV (constant current, constant voltage) charging method that is required for LiPo. It charged at 2.5A up to 8.29V then went straight on to trickle charge.
Finally, although the charger appeared to stop at 8.29V (undercharged - 8.4V is the correct maximum for 2 cells), it reads voltage incorrectly and it actually stopped at around 8.55V. Yes that is right, it overcharged which is a recipe for explosions with LiPo.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
I have 6 of these chargers and am completely satisfied with them. I only wish they had an "autocycle" feature where, after discharge, they would charge. Other than that... WONDERFUL and easy to use. Very flexible as well in their application.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
i got a super brain 977 , it does everything , nicd , nimh , lead acid , gel , lithium , and is 12v but comes with power supply and it but dosn't have motor breakin so if you run nitro you don't have some useless technology that i'm sure would run the price up . easy to use and has adjustable peak so you can max nicd batteries better . haven't had button issues .

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
You are an idiot, go get a dictionary. Maybe if you could read you would learn how to use it. This is the best bang for your buck charger. Anyone that knows anything about r/c especially if you run nitro will love this charger. You can charge a gel cell (used for starter boxes) and your glow starter at the same time. You can charge different battery types at different rates. Just read the features of this thing, if you are not sold on it, you are crazy. As I said before, you cant find a charger with thes features for such an amazing price.

Buttons fail to work at a very early stage. Soft touch need not apply here. Go ahead and buy the newer silver case version, they have fixed that problem.

MRC Super Brain 977 Pro Dual Output AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH)
This is the "daddy" of all chargers. I use it to charge my TX/RX and Glow batteries as well as starter box packs and Gel cells. It comes with a 12V PSU that you can use in the USA and in Europe and for less than 100US your getting a bargain. I've found that my batteries last longer in the finals since using this excellent charger.
